LJB723 0
Worst poker show ever? Come back Celebrity Poker Showdown all is forgiven! I'm currently emailing GSN to refund me the 40 minutes of my life I lost watching that (OK I watched it on Pokertube but whatever)For those who didn't see, I believe it was aired the same time as that homoerotic rugby abortion you Americans call football was. Pats 27-24 Ravens (see I was kidding in the first part I like it too!) Corey Zeidman presents - famous for..? That suckout vs Jen Harman a few years back and then..? I'm stumped. Premise: a seasoned poker-pro visits a "homegame" and proceeds to destroy them, it was Mike Matusow for the pilot. Winner gets $10K, wonder why MM done it? Who else has gone broke? Amhir Vahedi? He might pop up next week (if it lasts).Poker content was awful, chips took swings but with no explanation only hands shown were (inevitably) all-ins. They showed most HU play but *spoiler* MM destroyed the guy so it could have just been filler material. Only reason to watch is to compare it your home game, bask in how you play so much better but weep because you could never find girls this hot to play! Wonder if they'll all be filmed in LA using desperate actors? I'm looking forward to the mid-west stud8 homegame, with 4 piano key teeth between the whole game! And a deeply confused Zeidman...Summary: Bad game, hot chicks. It's on pokertube if you want to check it out, maybe use it as a drinking game. 2 fingers everytime Zeidman comments on how much better Matusow is. 3 fingers everytime they slap hands with each other and see off your drink on each all-in. In fact I think I'll watch it again!
drcossack 0
I'd rather watch more of "Annie Duke Takes on The World"; Ace in the house was that bad...
CobaltBlue 662
Watching Matusow lose A8 to AJ on a board of AA84J was worth the price of admission.
AussieAssassin 0
Glad I downloaded it at work and didnt waste 350mb of my home bandwidth.Would have been hot if the two chicks hooked up though for some lesbian action on the table.
Southern Buddhist 1
Watching Matusow lose A8 to AJ on a board of AA84J was worth the price of admission.Looks like we're mostly in agreement here. The A8 to AJ hand was the one that made me turn it off (15 minutes or so in?). Zeidman was going on and on about how Mike's full house had the guy crushed and he didn't even know it, and he just hit a miracle Jack on the river, but a pro would have known it and been able to make a laydown, because pros are such geniuses, psychics, and all-around demi-gods.Oh, please! The amateur hit TRIP ACES. Can anyone tell me one time they've seen a pro lay down trip aces? I've never seen it happen. If that exact same hand had happened between two pros, all the commentary would have been about how hard it is to lay down a big hand and how it's nearly impossible to lay down trip aces. Daniel might have surmised that Mike had A8, but we all know he'd have called anyway, right?I agree that everyone was too generically pretty for it to be a real home game. Actors, all. Asimo 1
I haven't watched the episode, but what would stop a group of friends from just colluding against the pro and then chop the money afterwards?

showstopper24 0
I DVRed it but erased it after watching a couple of minutes. When I saw that Cory Zeidman was the host, I stopped watching.
