Wow, that's ugly.I think you see a naked Ad bluff here a fair amount of the time, but the nut flush more often. We only have 7 flop outs if we are behind, and we don't get too much action from the nut flush if we hit.I don't like any line at all. Folding seems a little weak, raising seems dumb (we're bluffing with top set), and calling pot OOP drawing to 7 outs just feels wrong.Meh, I probably call, but I think folding is likely best. We don't have much in implied odds here IMO unless he's willing to bluff several streets with the naked Ad. Given that he's 25/7/1.5 I don't think that's too likely.

I was kind of thinking why would Adxd do this here? If I had the dry A and someone calls this bet they are def getting a large second warning shot on the turn. Unless you pair the turn your hand is pretty much dead in most instances against the Ad. A less aggressive player may get scared off of the lead if you flat, but I think that is such a small percentage of the time when they do actually only have the bare Ad.

Fold, you're not going to be able to handle a pot bet on a nonpaired turn, so you're drawing to up to 7 outs once and are likely to be against a flush. If villain is intelligent he's not paying you off anything substantial if the board pairs on the turn either, so you won't get paid off in the long run to cover all the times you miss.

The two spots where I tend to be the most lost are having a set on a flush board and having a set on a straight board. I never know what to do. Here you're OOP, so you can't even semi-bluff and then try to take a free card on the turn. I do know that calling down to try to hit and then folding the river is a bad line though, and calling the flop and folding the turn is an even worse line.I lead this some of the time, but when you check and run into a PSB from a fairly TAP player, I think folding is your best option.

I call flop and fold turn UI just cus of the stacks but i don't claim that it is a good play. Bet sizing turn and river would be a lot of fun if it pairs on turn.

When you flop a set of aces on a flush flop, and they price you in.. 3 freakin dollars? Don't fold. The way you played that makes me want to beat a kitten.

Beat one, if it makes you feel better...lolI honestly didn't see the amount of the bet while I was multitabling, all I saw was the flush flop and the bet/call, and I let it go.Paying continually to draw oop is getting most frustrating. lol

As fun as flopping a set is, most of those hands are really easy to get away from. KK77 is a very easy fold on the turn, I call with the trips on flush board when it's cheap and c/f turn, when BB raises pot when you have 2nd set, you're running into a set of queens a lot. Final hand is sick, definitely played it how you had to.

WTF?You don't fold middle set there. You just don't.
Really? I see this as we're up against a wrap or queens in these situations a lot, so we're either drawing thin or a slight favourite. What do you expect BB to be betting so hard with on that board?

We are a slight favourite far more often than we are drawing thin. We also have a gutshot rememberWe are getting slightly under 2/1 to call, so we need to be about 30% on average. Against QQxx we are 20%. Against AKT9 with two backdoor flush draws we are nearly 60%.He only needs to show up with a draw very occasionally for this to be an instacall.

True. I thought we were deeper than this. With stacks the way they are this isn't hard to shovel/call (more or less same thing). If deeper though, is second set still a never fold? Supposing 2x max buy-in for Hero and Villain.

When villain can easily have a big draw, I'm very rarely folding middle set.Usually by the time you find out he probably has you beat, you're priced in to call. When we have a gutshot to go with it I would have to be pretty damn deep to fold.Change JJJ to 222 and I'm definitely more open to folding.
