simo_8ball 1
Raise preflop :)I like the flop play.
fitzinabox 0
i don't understand why raising preflop is a good play here with this hand. I feel like in most situations potting pre would be right but in this circumstance i just dont know if i like it.
simo_8ball 1
It's a case of punishing limpers; taking advantage of weakness. I also gain position and the betting lead. People rarely reraise preflop without aces, so when they do repop me I can call with a wide range knowing what flops I can bluff at and what flops I can get value from.http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/poker-foru...t&p=2276198If you look through that post and the one after it, you'll notice just how often it gets checked to me on the flop. That is immensely powerful.
bdc30 0
The reason I don't often raise with weaker hands such as this one from UTG and UTG+1 are so that I can still call a raise from behind me, if there happens to be one, and get to a flop. If I pot it to $2.50 here, it gets repotted to $9.50, and I'm in a spot that I don't want to be in, having to call and put 20% of a stack in preflop with single suited connectors. Put me in the cutoff or on the button with a limper in front, I raise it 90% of the time now.Full Tilt PokerPot Limit Omaha Ring gameBlinds: $0.25/$0.506 playersConverterStack sizes:UTG: $68.75Hero: $50CO: $51.10Button: $27.40SB: $153.85BB: $40.80Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG+1 with K 8 Q 9 UTG calls, Hero calls, CO raises to $2.75, Button folds, SB calls, BB folds, UTG calls, Hero calls.Flop: A 8 J ($11.5, 4 players)SB checks, UTG checks, Hero checks, CO bets $9, SB folds, UTG calls, Hero raises all-in $47.25, CO raises all-in $48.35.Uncalled bets: $1.1 returned to CO.Turn: 9 ($76.75, 0 player + 2 all-in - Main pot: $115)River: Q ($76.75, 0 player + 2 all-in - Main pot: $115)Results:Final pot: $76.75Hero showed Ks 8s Qh 9cCO showed Th Ah Ac 4c
