I figured me holding two of his outs if he is on flush draw I would try to get cute. If he had AAxx with hearts maybe we could get it in now with my weak looking raise. Turn bet meh. simo_8ball 1
Check/repot every time.I think you should check/call the turn. Betting $6 doesn't achieve too much IMO. You're either 100% or you're drawing to a board pair.As played, it's $14.5 into $41. You need to be 26% to call, without any implied odds. You probably have 10 outs from 44 = 22.7%. You know that villain has AhXh and more likely than not some high cards, so you can probably bump that to 10 from 41 = 24%.You don't need to get paid off much, or often, to call here. During the hand as I was doing the quick calculations I figured this jackass was doing to me the same exact thing I did to him on the flop....raise just enough to give them bad pot odds to draw. I was stuffing just about any non heart turn.So I check turn, and he pots, I take it you are laying it down?
simo_8ball 1
I would c/c pot on the turn. He can pot the turn with a few hands you beat if you check. If you bet and he raises you are never ahead.
BigLebowski 0
So you really are hoping for a check through on the river if the board doesn't pair? How much do you pay off if board doesn't pair and he bets?

simo_8ball 1
So are you saying you wouldn't call a dime on the river?I'm check/folding most big bets on the river because he's never value betting big a low flush on the river. If he makes a small bet I'm probably looking him up. iggymcfly 0
This spot sucks. Your line looks like you just have a set which makes you vulnerable both to a bluff and to a thin value raise. The problem is that all the wraps got there in addition to the flush draw so it's unlikely to be a bluff although a lower flush is possible. As played, I think I'd just shove the turn against an average low-stakes player. Most players at this level have a hard time laying down any flush ever, especially when you have a strange line, so I think that maximizes your value when he flops a combo draw that hits a weak flush. Also, if you do fill up on the river, you don't have to worry about whether you will get paid off.If you're against someone who's on the weak-tight side that you think will not raise a low flush in the first place or at the least will not V-bet it on the river if you call his raise, then calling and check/folding a blank river is OK. If he's in-between kinda weak-tight, then you can call a small bet on the river and fold to a big one too. It's all pretty read-dependent.
