Villain is 31/14/2.4 over around 775 hands. Turn aggro of 2.3. River aggro of 0.77. Is double barrelling the best play here to get stacks in the middle? Or is a turn C/R a better option? The board got pretty dangerous and a check on the turn would have been a huge leak right? If you are betting, what amount are you betting to get his stack in the middle? He has 66.75 behind on the turn.Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $1 BB (4 handed) Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)Button ($97.75)SB ($175.30)Hero ($102.20)UTG ($40)Preflop: Hero is BB with Kclub.gif, Kheart.gif. I would bet $45 or so.I think betting here is the right play because i don't think he's folding that often with his stack size and i don't think he's betting enough to make a c/r the best move.

I think you need to bet the turn since the villain didn't raise your flop bet.$45 sounds about right.

Bet $45 with the nuts.
You really think he's gonna show up with JT here mtdesmoines?I don't really see how he's got that hand given preflop action. Therefore, top set is the nuts.Since this is posted, I guess there's a higher than average chance that he does have JT, but whatever. I won't concern myself with that holding here.

You don't think he'd call our 3-bet in position with like a J-Ts? Then call a reasonable bet on the flop in position with a OESD?J-T is very possible here, that's not to say don't bet the turn. Bet $45-50 on the turn for sure.

Yeah, maybe and I don't care if he does, because I have top set and 13 outs.

Calling 13% of your stack (he can only win our stack, so his effective is $102) with a hand like JT just seems like a really bad play. You are really only hoping to flop 2 pair or a draw and you'll often lose a lot of money when you flop top pair and are out kicked or against an overpair.I'm not saying people don't do it. I'm just saying it's bad. Also, if he's got it, he can have my money. I'm proceeding as if he has a set of Qs or a set of 7s or AKdd or something.

Why bother leading the turn then if all of these hands are getting their money in anyway?
Becuase if he has someting stupid like KJdd or AJdd or something, he might not bet it. If he has those hands, he's certainly calling but he might not bet. I mean, hell, he could have AA here. Basically, any hand that is gonna pay us off here will call or raise our bet. There are a few hands though that won't bet when we check to, so that's why we should be betting.

If you had read completely, you should realize that the "Since this is posted, I guess there's a higher than average chance that he does have JT" doesn't apply here. My question was: What's the best line to get my stack in? I didn't ask: Is there any way I can get away from this? I'm never afraid of TJ here - if he has it, so be it.The real result was that I bet 42 and he folded, but that is irrelevant. My question was merely what line and bet sizing do most use in this situation.

I love you guys. I said bet $45. I was being a smart ass about the SECOND nuts.
