I expect to be full of bullet holes when i re-check this post tomorrow, so don't disappoint. Someone put up the obligatory flame suit for me.Villian has made some weak bets with air in which he got raised by me for the last couple of hands. He folded each time. Thats about all the history i have, only been at the table for about 10 minutes.I min-raised at the end because i thought i would be losing only a small amount if he did have the straight. On the other hand, I thought his calling range was so wide that I thought there had to be some value missed in smooth calling. Please critique everything in the hand, but I want to especially know how bad my minraise is on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 is really really really lbad minraise).PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.02 BB (4 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)Hero ($5.94)UTG ($3.66)Button ($2.60)SB ($2.67)Preflop: Hero is BB with 8Posted Image, 5Posted Image. 1 fold, Button calls $0.02, SB completes, Hero checks.Flop: ($0.06) 4Posted Image, 5Posted Image, APosted Image (3 players)SB checks, Hero bets $0.04, Button folds, SB calls $0.04.Turn: ($0.14) 2Posted Image (2 players)SB checks, Hero checks.River: ($0.14) 8Posted Image (2 players)SB bets $0.06, Hero raises to $0.12.

I think it's not so bad, as long as you don't pay off a reraise.

What about a min reraise?Edit: Should probably put some analysis. I'm probably just calling because calling is probably +EV here but you're very unlikely to be called by worse, and a small 3bet is going to be tempting to call. If you never call a 3 bet go ahead, but it's such a marginal situation you're probably not giving anything up by just calling.

I'd raise to .18. I think you get called by enough to get more value here.

Don't play to much nlhe but.I have two thought here:1:Reraise to around .20. With our weak turn bet he may be just betting Ax. If he has Ax for two pairs he may folds/call, you take down the pot. or He takes down the pot with the AX two pair, str8 or a flush.2:Just call and don't waste any more chips. We fought the good fight. Be happy we took the pot with the weak turn bet and weak hand.I think the MR was a 6., but thats not how we went wrong.New at this so I may be wrong on some notes. If it was a ten man table, we most likely folded this hand on the flop. The Table is short handed. SO a hand that hits the flop is strong. We cut the pot odd out with the raise on the flop. He called so we should think he has Str8,two pair, or AX. On the turn we should have cut the pot odds for the flush draw but we have a weak hand. Not betting shows that. He is strong on the river. That puts us in a bad spot. The mini raise may be the only thing that gets the pot back from a weaker hand. Now i can get flamed just like you would if i am wrong!

This seems to be a good long solid content post. However, I refuse to read it until you or someone else revises the grammar. Its just too painful.

Obv. If i'm getting re-raised its a nuclear dump. Seeing if he would re-raise was one of the reasons I min-raised.
