I thought this was a post that would be interesting to add. Video's that teams have made and or players have done on video that are quite funny. very cool thanks Whiter...By the Jeff his other son added me on his facebook profile, so I saw a lot of the pictures they have..Why is Justin a left hand shot and not like hid dad, the powerful right handed shot..Oh and how good is this kid...Does he have a shot to follow in dad's footsteps???

Jeff is currently a Molson Rep in Halifax and attends St Mary's.I've only seen him (Justin) play on TV a couple of times. He played with Team USA (dual citizenship) in the Under 18's where he had like 4-6 points in 5 games. He didn't stand out much other than the fact that he is a big kid (bigger than his father). My guess is the draft is more based on his lineage than his actual talent. At this point in both their careers I would have assumed Rick was a lot better but Justin could really improve over the next couple of years. We'll have to wait and see.The same thing happened to another kid from the Island last year. Logan MacMillan (son of Bobby 1st round pick for the Rangers in 1972 who won the Lady Bing in 78-79 with the Atlanta Flames) was rated to go late in the 2nd round but was picked in the first round by the Ducks. Even in the interview with Burke he said he like the kid but he really liked the bloodline. I coached against this kid in bantam and he was a great hockey player. The only knack I can see against him is his foot speed but that can be improved. He isn't slow by any means but he is not very quick either (at least NHL quick). Bobby his father is back on the Island, owns a local sports bar and has ran for politics both for the city and provincially. A real nice guy who coached me in Bantam.

some nice insight...What do you feed the kids there???for a small population you sure seem to pump out the players...Brian Burke is a smart guy so they must of seen something in Justin...Maybe i will pick him up in the our AHL pool next year with a late round pick

We have a lot of rinks here. Around Charlottetown (population 45K) we have 7-8 rinks within a 15 minute drive.
