Balloon guy 158
When I was taking computer classes I noticed the first thing they threw you in was math, because the method of deducing math was the same method as the one used for computer programming.I have been a big Sudoku fan for a year and I've noticed since I've gotten into the higher levels that the methodology of figuring out why spaces can and cannot be certain numbers is very similar towards the thinking lines for putting people on a hand in hold em.Anyone else a sudoku fan and feel the same.If you don't you are wrong btw
bdc30 0
I agree completely. I love sudoku's and think a lot of the thought processes are similar between the two.

Ouch-8s 5
if you give MP & BB credit for being a thinking player, then how can MP call without quads or an ace?and if MP has either quads or an ace to call BB's shove, and BB has either quads or an ace to shove, and you have an acesomeone has quads.it's like a soduko, or the puzzle where the german guy has the fish Tell me who mocked you..Was it Checky???I will so whip that boy if it was him.Was it ?In rereading, it seems the mocking was more about folding the 2nd nuts. But I still made the soduko comparison, although I like the german guy with the fish one better...
jethrodull 0
i'm a sudoku fan too. i've always been a number person, remember when I was a kid my folks got me puzzles that most couldn't figure out, but I could rather quickly...one in particular I remember was a binary puzzle. I could do it and didn't even know why... now I know why with most of them...sudoku is similar to a binary puzzle to me, you figure out more what can't be then what can, and in doing so end up with the only option which is...J

Royal_Tour 0
Ya, sudoku is cool, although does it help with poker? No. infact it makes you worse at poker because you're spending time focusing on numbers with sudoku rather than studying game theory and hand analysis./thread
scram 1
Absolutely love it, play it all the time.Never even heard of it until I found myself in a place where I had a lot of 'free time' and puzzle books were the only option to keep your mind from rotting other than the bible and outdated periodicals .Got hooked and never looked back.Just getting into the higher level games and more advanced strategies. I do use pencil notes but the goal is to get to the point where I can crack high level puzzles without them (may never get there) No where in the same universe as this cat, but his youtube on a strat regarding discovering a thing called "X Wings" is really good.
