Wash did that last year it didn't workpeople used to get out of magic's way too - maybe it has something to do with being 6'8" 280 lbs

Oh, his offense was pretty good, too. We're used to seeing James beat a team by himself, but rarely this literally. Between his shots and passes, James accounted for 66 points -- while the Hawks scored only 65 with him on the floor.

i agree with jadaki 100% here, sure lebron is good, but if some one would just man up and put him on his ass and show they arent scared of him there would be some competitive games. dwade was the real mvp this year but since lebrons team won 66 games and is the league's savior he won the mvp. the lakers or the nuggets are going to win the title this year with an up tempo game, and mike brown is an awful coach

The one on Garnett... who won the series and the title? Yea it's an ESPN commercial, I'm sure KG crys about it when he looks at his ring. The on Rasheed, he was slow and was under the basket. He needed to rotate faster and meet him further from the basket.Damon Jones.... yea that guy is a shot blocker.Zo got dunked on more times than anyone, but he manned up and tried to stop everyone too. If the Hawks had anything resembling Zo in the middle this series might be interesting. Josh Smith is a little bitch.I'd love to see what would happen if Lebron ran into a team like Jordan did the Pistons.

Lebron weighs more than anyone on that team except for maybe Mahorn. You can't compare jordan's pistons era body to Lebrons, Lebron would be much more physically able to take that beating. It was that Piston's team that inspired Jordan to bulk up ( 'roid up?). And don't get butt hurt I suggested that Jordan roided, I would bet my farm that Lebron is on HGH or some other performance enhancer.

I agree with Jadaki that Wade did not get much if any star treatment in the playoffs this year. It was disappointing. Only in game 4 did he get a few calls.I think that is all I agree with Jadaki about in this thread. The suggestion (from I Fold) that if someone just manned up on Lebron and was physical that he could be had is ridiculous.Besides, they changed the rules you cant do that crap anymore. Jordan would definitely score 5 more points a game in the hand check era we all admit that.I am not sure how much better Lebron can play than Game 3 against Atlanta. It was a complete performance. And I am starting to see what Bill Simmons was saying when he said that the Cavs genuinely like each other and like playing together. Every guy on the team knows his role. It's fantastic to be honest; it's how basketball was meant to be played. (fwiw, Denver has the same mojo going right now......which is probably more amazing since they have like 7 nutcase players AND a nutcase coach....but I digress.)I like Cleveland to complete the sweep and destroy the winner of Orlando/Boston.They dont match up well with LA though so it might be one more year of wait for Lebron. But it won't be long.

I dont.I re-read Jadaki's post and I also agree with him that ZO got dunked on more than anyone because he was fearless. Zo also blocked a TON of dunks while on the Heat. He was a force. But Vince Carter and Lebron got him good a couple times.

There aren't many players in the league physical/fast enough to guard him anywhere on the court. You can easily count them on one hand and none of those players are on Detroit or Atlanta. Lebron's game 3 was pretty gross. And I agree with your point about Denver. LA is looking a little suspect right now. They have a hurt opponent and aren't showing any killer instinct. I'm starting to like Cleveland's chances against LA.

I never said he wasn't. I've said multiple times in this thread he is one of the 5 best players in the league.

no not sarcasm just poor wording. if some one would have something like the "lebron" rules like the pistons did to MJ back in the day, and if 4s and 5s played basketball and didnt try to take charges all the time. no doubt lebron is super talented, but i think a lot of times ppl are scared to really play against him

The point isn't who is a shot blocker, who isn't, rotating speeds, who won rings, etc. It's that the man is unstoppable driving to the basket and if you try to rotate over, you're likely to get bulldozed over and dunked on.He's a pretty creative finisher around the rim and can't be stopped by anyone. The Pistons didn't beat the Bulls by roughing up Jordan, just like the Wizards didn't beat the Cavs by roughing up Lebron. They beat the Bulls because they were a better basketball team.

Based on their defense of Jordan, which didn't involve getting out of the way when he went to the basket. If you play defense like a bitch, then you end up on a highlight reel one way or another. It's just a matter of if you attempt to guard the rim or if you get spotted running out of the lane like everyone in a Hawks jersey does.

Should I dig up Jordans numbers against the Pistons in those playoff series? It probably won't end well for your side of the argument if I do.

Exactly what do Jordan's numbers have to do with my side of the argument?I'm saying there isn't a team out there right now willing to punish Lebron for driving to the basket. Until someone steps up and does so, then he is just going to walk all over teams.

LOLTeams can't punish him because he's too big, too strong, way too fast and the rules don't allow it. The NBA isn't the WWE where somebody is going to be able to come over and give him a chair shot.LeBron is the most physically gifted player ever when it comes to having the package of attributes for driving to the hoop and that combined with the current way the NBA is officiated that favours offense over defense means he walks all over teams.

I'm guessing you have not been paying attention to the Nuggets who abused Chris Paul every time he drove (Martin took a swing at his head one time that I don't know how he wasn't tossed for) or Bulls/Celtics series were plenty of hard fouls were handed out. And if everyone in the league thinks the same way you do about Lebron why do they bother stepping on the court? You want to slow a guy down, you go up and meet him hard in the air and make him rethink what happens next time he does it. Where are the Oakley's and Mason's in this league?
