I sensed some weakness here. Mostly because he took so long to decide on the flop (can we trust this as a read on the lowest limits?). Villain has a big pf raising range.

2nd barrel: reckless or necessary?

Something you can do is check to see if villain is multitabling, if they are chances are any delay is due to that.

wtf just fold the flop!

If you think you have enough fold equity, and insist on raising, raise the pot. The pot is 2.5, and you're raising to $1.5, he's calling $1 into a $4 pot.

Also, give the **** up after you get called on the flop.

You are probably right in sensing weakness, but I find at $10NL that people have trouble folding. He probably has a weakish Ace and is calling you down.

I don't mind the idea of raising the flop, as his weak lead looks pretty fishy, but yeah raise more than $1.

I don't like the second barrel, once he calls the flop I'm giving up.

Also, how often is everyone 3-betting preflop with this hand?

OP said villain has a big pf raising range so I'm 3 betting here fairly often in position.

77 is a decent hand that should be played for more than just set value, so you want to be in control of the hand when you are going to the flop.

I would never 3-bet here without the reads I had on the villain.

And to make things clear:
I did not play this aggressive because of the strength of my hand. I felt extreme weakness here. Results in a moment, if anyone wanna discuss this some more first.

With the most likely thing with him being slow to act on the flop being multi-tabling, or bathroom breaking, or something other than weakness, I don't really think that can ever be a stone read, especially at lower levels.

I personally don't really like it, but if you're going with you're reads, you're fine.

The biggest problem with this, is that he may very well be weak, we may have read him perfectly. That by no means guarantees he's laying down a K or a T, and almost NEVER laying down an ace.

His bet looks like one of those amateur "information" bets, but they rarely, if ever use the information they receive.
