Did I take a unwarranted/stupid risk? We're only 10 hands into a Sit-n-Go, so let's assume I don't have any read on my opponents -- they're average typical.SNG $200 at Party: Level 1, Blinds 15/10PreFlopMe (1700 chips): Mid Position, TT -- Raise to 451stCaller (2000 chips): Call 452ndCaller (900 chips): Call 45SB: FoldBB: FoldFlop: Pot~ 160 chips --- Q T 9 rainbowMe: Bet 1301stCaller: Call 1302ndCaller: FoldAnalysis: I put him on a Q or a J probably. KJ, AK, KT, 88 are also possible. Sound reasonble? Or do u think I could narrow it down further?Turn: Pot ~ 420 chips --- Q T 9 K rainbowMe: Bet 2001stCaller: Call 200 (in about 4 seconds)Turn Plan: I bet 200 with the intention of calling a mimum raise (looking to Boat up on my 10 outs) and folding to a bigger ReRaise?Analysis: I was now pretty sure he had a Q or a J, but not a King or two pair. Online Tell: quick call here with Q (out of frustration) or J (to trap). Hitting a King or Two Pair on the turn would require more thought, I think?!?!?River: Pot ~ 820 -- Q T 9 K QMe: Check1stCaller: Bet 275What would you do???I checked because I thought he would then bet any J or Q, thinking that was good. I also felt like if I bet and he raised All In, I would have to fold.So I Checked with the intention of just calling a Big Bet like 500 or 600, and Check-Raising any small bet.If I just call I'll either win 2,320 ........ or lose and be left with 1,050 chips. If I check-Raise I could win 3,470.... or lose EVERYTHING and Bust Out (10th place). Conclusion:Me: Check-Raise to 750 (because I wanted him to call w a Q as well as a J)1Caller: Re-Raise All-inMe: Call (575 more)Did I play this right? or was this a stupid risk on the river?

I'd make the play. He probably has a straight, so you'll then have a nice stack more often then not very early in a sng

Play seems to fine to me; you're ahead of most hands here.KQ is the only hand that I can see beating you. If he had that, I'm surprised that he didn't raise on the flop or turn but maybe he's passive. The small bet on the river actually worries me as it's almost asking to be re-raised. Weak is strong and strong is weak sometimes. But all in all, you're usually ahead.

My thoughts... if he hit his Q, you would have seen a raise on the flop... thats a scary board to just call a flop bet on with top pair K kicker. If he hit 2 pair on the turn, id expect a raise there, if for nothing else, to feel you out, see if YOU have the straight. Only thing i can put him on here is a straight, and the river gave him 2 pair and you took the pot.. how wrong am i?
