So I play a fair amount of tourneys and such and you've seen me b.itching about beats and such, so I thought I'd share this little gem.

PokerStars Game #13172088821: Tournament #66848945, $7.00+$0.50 Hold'em No Limit - Level I (10/20) - 2007/11/11 - 07:49:14 (ET)
Table '66848945 1' 9-max Seat #7 is the button
Seat 1: Zapuhc (1500 in chips)
Seat 2: Tjolis (1280 in chips)
Seat 3: divekahuna (1570 in chips)
Seat 4: sebabas (1700 in chips)
Seat 5: passaces um (1450 in chips)
Seat 6: xMercury69x (1450 in chips)
Seat 7: Pinto1985 (1300 in chips)
Seat 8: JohnnyJay222 (1780 in chips)
Seat 9: magdale (1470 in chips)
JohnnyJay222: posts small blind 10
magdale: posts big blind 20
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to xMercury69x [Ks Kc]
Zapuhc: folds
Tjolis: folds
divekahuna: folds
sebabas: raises 40 to 60
passaces um: folds
xMercury69x: calls 60
Pinto1985: folds
JohnnyJay222: folds
magdale: calls 40
*** FLOP *** [4s As Ad]

I flat call in position to see what a flop brings...Two A's come and I think I may be against random hands and no A.
magdale: checks
sebabas: checks
xMercury69x: bets 60
magdale: folds
sebabas: calls 60

He flat calls

*** TURN *** [4s As Ad] [Qs]
sebabas: checks
xMercury69x: checks

Sneaky check? I think I'm good at this point

*** RIVER *** [4s As Ad Qs] [9s]
sebabas: bets 400
xMercury69x: raises 930 to 1330 and is all-in
sebabas: calls 930

I lead on the flop, checked the turn, so he...probes? I've hit a flush, so even if he does have an A, I have him beat most of the time, so I raised all-in.

*** SHOW DOWN ***
xMercury69x: shows [Ks Kc] (a flush, Ace high)
sebabas: shows [Ac Ah] (four of a kind, Aces)sebabas collected 2970 from pot
*** SUMMARY ***
Total pot 2970 | Rake 0
Board [4s As Ad Qs 9s]
Seat 1: Zapuhc folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 2: Tjolis folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 3: divekahuna folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 4: sebabas showed [Ac Ah] and won (2970) with four of a kind, Aces
Seat 5: passaces um folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 6: xMercury69x showed [Ks Kc] and lost with a flush, Ace high
Seat 7: Pinto1985 (button) folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 8: JohnnyJay222 (small blind) folded before Flop
Seat 9: magdale (big blind) folded on the Flop

I lol'd and moved along. Outkicked by one pip, up against AA when I have to shove, losing small edges when people call me down with crap...then I get a quality hand and, well, that gets beaten also...

Quite a barrel of laughs...

He could have had A5 AQ or A9 and you'd still be beat.

Your preflop play sucks balls, so I'm moving this immediately to the bad beat forum.

He could have had A4 AQ or A9 or 44 or QQ or 99 and you'd still be beat.
