I guess I'm guilty as charged. One of my favorite sayings at the table is, "If that would have happened, I'd have flipped the table". Recently I find myself doing this in all aspects of life. We played this shitty basketball team the other night and almost lost, so I told a couple of my teammates, "Jesus man, if we'd have lost to that team, I'd have flipped the table." Needless to say they were pretty confused.
On the basketball line, I've often found myself saying "nice read" after an intercept.

Another one that has confused me is the new l337 d00d sp34k for "donkey" is now "muppet"...I have no clue how that started, other than the basic premise that the seasoned player is "pulling their strings" perhaps?

Whatever angle it is, i am pretty sure it will be obtuse.

This is another pet peeve, I have no idea what the first part of that says, part of this has been solved for me with the recent bannaments.

Just hold up your index finger and your thumb on your right hand and make a "c" like you measuring something, and say "This is eight inches, right?"

OK, so we have all been guilty of using poker cliche's in our everyday lives, and it is getting worse, they are in sports articles, on the news, movies, TV programs, business meetings. This thread is to post the cliche's that bother you the most. I'll startBad Beat. Any time something doesn't go someones way now its a bad beat, most of these people that are saying this only know what it is because Norman Chad told them what it was in 2003.

I used to say donkey a lot, but I've moved on to idiot. Like saying "What an idiot" when I'm playing online. It's kind of like Matusow's "you an idiot." I don't think I'll ever stop saying something is sick though.

"Well, it's not quite a mop, it's not quite a puppet, but man... " - Homer Simpson(I've been calling people muppets since I was about 12. Common English term for an idiot.)

Sik, was never a poker term, it just got annoying becaue of Phil Laak and Antonio, almost as annoying as calling every one doctor and completely diminishing the 8+ years of educated needed to done that title properly.
