An avarage $5 table, what can we do here?

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Tournament
Blinds: t50/t100
5 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: t2298
CO: t4722
Button: t4285
SB: t1225
Hero: t970

Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is BB with 3 icon_suit_club.gif 3 icon_suit_diamond.gif
UTG calls t100 (pot was t150), CO calls t100 (pot was t250), Button folds, SB calls t50 (pot was t350), Hero..?

Check..? You shouldn't be pushing because atleast 1 will call. Most likely CO/UTG

For me, small pairs mean see a flop as cheap as possible and hope to get biggish payoff when I hit a set.

Don't really like to be too aggressive pre-flop of too clever post-flop

With so many limpers you're getting great odds to check and hit a set while someone hits TP. Checking also disguises your hand..i find it extremely hard to put someone on a set

Definitely. There are way too many players already in the pot, and you have very little fold equity, to consider pushing here. Take the free chance to flop a set.

An added danger is the possibility that UTG limped a PP, and a PP bigger than yours (albeit slightly)... If that's the case, you are pretty screwed if they get frisky and call.
