Goals

However, when setting your goals, remember to make SMART goals (just learned this acronym in class) and take it seriously. Mean what you are saying. Do not just do it for the hell of it.
Specific
Measurable
Attainable
Realistic
Timely
Make sure your goal is high enough.
Be very detailed in writing your goal.
Make sure the goal you are working for is something you really want, not just something that sounds good.
Make sure a goal does not contradict any of your other goals.

Probably not what you are looking for.
It doesn't matter who you start because you have a horse shoe up your ass so far I'm not really sure how you get through the day. You must be gay.

Ya, but I think monthly goals are a little on the short side and I think longer goals are good too.
Also, a lot of people do not go to strat and I am trying to let people know how important goals are and I think everyone should make some good goals.

Just curious why everyone at Pokerhaus always wants to put down FCP? I'm sure there aren't any non-serious posts over there.

last night, I got it over $950, so I have met that goal. I don't think I can double every month from here out playing sng's and the occasional mtt, but I now have a goal of making $500 per month playing in them.
For me, I don't know what is "attainable" and "realistic", so I'm playing it by ear. I wouldn't have thought that I could get to $900 in 90 days playing low limit sng's and the occasional mtt.

if i posted a serious thread like this one..a vast majority (if not all) of the responses would be serious
Look at this thread and its seriousness....
You might say, well then why didnt you just post this on pokerhaus. Well, I wanted it to see a wider audience because I thought it would be a good topic that would improve a lot of people's games.

i don't think everyone does it. just when someone makes a serious thread here about poker in general, there are always people who make it a joke. pokerhaus and fcp are good forums to look at. pokerhaus is more serious IMO, while fcp is more laid back

Think that might have something to do with it? Still doesn't make it okay for people to constantly be taking jabs at FCP because Pokerhaus is so much "better". If that were true, none of you would ever post here. I'm not saying there aren't a ton of dumb asses that post on this site but there are a ton of people who post here often as their primary site that don't need to constantly here how "great" that other site is compared to this one. In those nice little flippant ways it is always done as if posting on that other site makes you automatically above anyone who doesn't post there.
