Guitar Hero 3

Same reason people love karaoke. The joy of thinking you can do something that looks easy but really isn't.
Well now I don't get either one. I thought people loved karaoke because it's fun to get drunk and make a complete fool out of yourself. Or, in some cases, because they mistakenly think they can sing well enough to entertain others.

Same thing. It's all about fantasy, my friend.

I still don't get why people love that game.
I thought that myself till I tried it. I've only played the 80's version, but it was kind of fun.And karaoke.... bleh.

80's version is okay...but it's the worst of the 4.Also, music games are fun. For me, DDR -> Donkey Konga -> Guitar Hero. I think DDR's still the king though...since it's actually exercise and has decent potential for improving coordination. Unfortunately, I have a super fast metabolism and delusions of gaining weight, so I stopped playing. Finally, just got GH3 tonight. Been playing through Easy...which is quite boring. Just doing it to earn the cash, to reinforce good habits, and for completion's sake.

going thru easy is by far the hardest thing to do just because it seems to drag on and on and on and.....yeah

Finished Easy with enough cash to buy all the bonus songs and videos with a little left over. Some of these bonus songs are quite catchy...and I'm impressed with the overall setlist...probably the most of any of the series.

trust me, my fantasies don't include people playing pretend guitar or singing...unless they're all naked, of course.
I'll play naked just for you tonight big boy.

I've beat every regular song on expert except Raining Blood by Slayer and the 8th Encore. Raining Blood is just ridiculous.
cot dam, son. granted i'd only played GH2 a couple times prior to this weekend, but i was definitely struggling with some of the later songs on hard, and i play guitar!the solo for cult of personality is insane. <3 vernon reid.

We (8 guys) karaoked "Do you hear what I hear" the Thursday night before break. Brought down the house, it was pretty funny.
