He's always happy and has something nice to say.I think they're referring to the current funk he's in, and by "funk" I mean he's JUST mopping up at the biggest regular card game in the history of the world, and not winning absolutely every tournament in sight.People need to relax and give him a break, and realize that Negreanu has to be one of the best 10 cardplayers alive in the world right now. Within the first five minutes I thought he was a really cool guy.And, in regards to the ego, that couldn't be further from the truth. From what I've seen, he's a very down to earth guy. A professional poker player making derogatory comments about another professional poker player is certainly a topic that can be discussed on a poker forum. Perhaps Daniel himself would be interested in knowing how one of his fellow players feels about him. Allie 0 Posted April 28, 2005 Share Posted April 28, 2005 This made me laugh....I play alot at Paradise, and this NSXT guy plays there regularly.....and has another buddy who plays there (who shall remain nameless) who is apparently his neighbour....I've played at tables with both...but more often with the buddy/neighbour....and he's just too dam funny....giving people advice all the time like he's a poker guru, and in actuality...he plays really quite bad! I haven't seen as much of NSXT's play....but I did see he won a WSOP seat, and seems to make the money a fair bit in tourneys....so I can't argue that he doesn't play well enough to have some success...but if his neighbour/protege is any indication of his "teachings" (NSXT says he teaches online poker)....well, let's just say his ego outweighs his poker skills....ironic that he should accuse Daniel of needing a ego reduction.
