I'm a reasonably good player online very low limit HE...i stick pretty much to SSHE so, long term, i'm up. The problem is switching gears to NL for my occasional $20 freezeout home game. I know i should open up my hands a little, but still seem to have trouble switching gears for the new game. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. Next game is Saturday night.(originally posted in general, i figure i might get a few responses here.)

Well in NL you can pretty much start playing all your suited connectors if you have a relatively deep stack compared to blinds as well as all PP. Your betting might be off in NL too, you can protect your hand with more ease by putting in potsize or near potsize bets. Along with that you can scoop more pots by focusing on your friends' betting patterns and picking up pots when they are weak. You get better at NL by playing more NL, maybe you should buy in to some of the cheap cash tables online just to get more experience. You have to focus a lot more in NL I find myself enjoying playing limit hold em because I cam just relax and know that my stack is never in jeopardy and every decision is math based. In NL you have ot rely more on physical tells and betting tells so you have to stay on your best alert at all times. This doesnt seem all that helpful, but hopefully you can take something from here.
