Villain has taken a very, very strong line. This really looks like pocket 4's to me.

Yeah you gotta let it go. You just don't beat anything. The very least you are repping is AQ.

That's actually what I said in chat when I folded but my real question is whether the LAG tendencies of the villain changes your thought process or do you always just assume you are beaten by this line.

Isn't his post flop agg. factor 2.3? This isn't ridiculously laggy is it? The villain would have to be superlag for me to think I am good enough here.

That's not ridiculously laggy. In fact, I think it's less than optimal. I wouldn't call this villain a LAG; preflop, he's very loose but his aggression factor isn't crazy at all.As to the question whether we'd fold this every time, obviously it'd be dumb to fold this every single time. Without prior history that indicates that villain is capable of pulling off bluffs like this, however, I think we have to give him the benefit of the doubt and let it go here. You'd have to take the flow of the game into consideration in decisions like these. Obviously if villain is splashing around in a lot of pots, I'd probably go all the way in the hand in this situation. But with an aggression factor of only 2.3 and no indication that villain can pull off a bluff, just drop the hand.

This top two pair, top kicker really sucks. Villain sees the board. Only thing you're beating is a "bluff."
