Ricer98 0
Ultimate Bet No-Limit Hold'em, $.10 BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)MP ($52.80)Button ($28.84)SB ($9.90)BB ($1.75)Hero ($57.74)Preflop: Hero is UTG with K, K. Hero raises to $0.35, 1 fold, Button calls $0.35, 1 fold, BB calls $0.25.Flop: ($1.10) A, 5, 7(3 players)BB checks, Hero checks, Button bets $1.1, BB raises $1.40, Hero calls $1.40, Button callsTurn: ($4.40) 9(3 players)Hero checks, Button checks.River: ($4.40) A(3 players)Hero checks, Button checks.Final Pot: $4.40So normally with two aces on board I'm not really worried about loosing value with KK. But, Button is a an F-ing Maniac! Both myself and MP had stacks of a little over $10 before this guy sat down. He had 3 barrel bluffed all in with absolutely nothing on multiple occasions, stacked off with bottom pair when there was a flush and straight possible. Basically giving money away! The only play he ever made was bet/raise pot or check/call. By the time he left this guy probably dropped atleast 10 buy-ins in an hour. The only reason he had chips at this time is the hand before he reraised then called a 4 bet preflop with K2s the shoved when he flopped a flush draw.Of course I hate the flop, but I'm pretty sure this guy will bet any two cards if I check to him. I really didn't like that the BB went all in but I thought I could build a bit of a side pot with the maniac player. I checked the turn expecting the maniac to bet and was suprised he didn't. Should I have just folded the flop? Value bet the river?

Should I have just folded the flop? Value bet the river?I bet flop. As played, once there's a bet and an allin, it's pretty safe to assume someone has an A. I fold because even if you are ahead of the button I don't see how you could bet on future streets, so there's no value playing against him in a side pot.

I can see that the Hero didn't create any value in a side pot, but it's real money just like the main pot. If the villain is a maniac, I don't see why Hero shouldn't take his money. Also, BB is really short starting the hand. People go all in with[out] any piece of the flop at this level when they're short. Sure he went in after the button bet, but again...the button's a maniac.

AbsolutKnuts 0
I bet the flop to see where im at. if the button raises me i probably folding depending on the raise. The all in doesnt bother me as he is short stacked and has to push with any piece of the flop. If i just get called by the button the hes beat and i continue out on the turn and river. Ricer98 0
If he bets into a side pot he's only going to get called by an A.This guy was calling with way more than an ace. He would probably call down with any pair, on the board or pocket, as well as any draw including gut shots. The more I think about this hand I think giving it up on the flop is the correct play because I am out of position. I called expecting the villian the bet the turn with a range my hand has crushed, but he checked. On the river I contemplated value betting but thought again given this guys history he will fire a pot sized bet with a range I am way ahead of. Changing the hand with me having postion it is so much easier to get value out of this guy. If he bets, I call. If he checks, I can value bet it. Being out of position I need to hope he bets or bet and hope I don't get raised.

The all in doesnt bother me as he is short stacked and has to push with any piece of the flop. If i just get called by the button the hes beat and i continue out on the turn and river.Problem with this is if I bet and get raised he could be doing it with an ace or a draw. He had already pushed the flop with a straight draw on one hand and a flush draw on the other. So if he raises I still might have the best hand but have a very tough decision to make. Where as if I check to him I'm pretty sure hes going to fire out with just about any two cards.

Ricer98 0
WordEffective stacks are 280bb's, this is not the spot I want to play a big pot. If guy only has a 100bb I'd be more inclinded to try and get it all in since I probably have him beat most of the time.
Snamuh 0
Personally I fold to the flop bet and shove. I really think you have zero value in a side pot, it's just not worth it.
