I used to like them, but even the non turbo sitngos blinds get too high too quickly.

I've witnessed endless allins on the bubble where shortstacks double up (AQ beating Q8 on an 8 high flop was brutal). Then I shove 6bb on the button with K7 and get called by A3 for 95% of his chips and he holds.UTG limps with KK and I get stacked on a Q high flop with QJ and an 8bb stack.I limp AA utg on the bubble (the only hand I will slowplay with high blinds - 200/400) and lose to A8 suited turning a flush.AK<77 allin preflopAQ<33 allin preflopAnd others.I hate despise variance.

Sounds like you need a change of pace, do you play a lot of MTT's? Nothing like a final table in an MTT to get the juices flowing.I find myself gravitating towards and away from SNG's all the time, once I play a bunch, I start to get bored with them and begin to get impatient.

What I sometimes do when variance gets the best of me is just firing up a 1 dollar sit n go and blowing off steam, or just getting off the computer for a while and coming back when I'm less pissed. Which hasn't been much lately, I just accept that Stars likes to rape me in the ass for stretches that seem overly cruel, and continue to play until my 60 40s and 70 30s hold up.

I don't have a problem when I play a large number in a single session, but when I'm only 4-tabling it's very common to not cash in any. Then I fire up another 4 and don't cash in the first one, and I start thinking "wow, this is turning into a 6/7/8 buyin downswing".I simply need to keep playing and let the swings fix themselves. The most annoying thing at the moment though, is my goddamn internet which keeps disconnecting from FullTilt and coming back 2 hands later.Anyway, this isn't my personal BBV thread so I'll stop ranting.

Ok, maybe I won't.I've been blinded down from $14k to $8k in the $24k GTD because of disconnections. I come back to fold 63o in mid position and then I'm sitting out for another 4 hands. In that time average stack has risen to $22k.Bah.

I'm currently sitting at a +15% ROI in SNGs and a -15% ROI in MTTs...And yet I can't help myself.Sit N Gos are so quick, so easy, and sooo chock full of fish you can manipulate.MTTs are just chock full of landmines, and the first 3 guys who hit all-streets capped with their KJ86 in O8B are suddenly table captains and re-raising any two cards.I've been prisoner to the $1.10 mixed-game donkfests for far too long. Statistically, I approach the bubble 75% of the time, and cash about 20% of the time. The grueling part is to continually finish, say, 12/400 for a whopping 2 dollar profit. Those crapshoots are so ridiculously top-heavy in their pay out. I'm so overdue for a major win it makes my skin crawl. I've FT'd 3 Razz MTTs, FT bubbled 4 O8B MTTs, and continually bubble the Horse and Stud8s. The knowledge and tricks I've picked up through the process in incredible, but it still doesn't seem to do me much good in the late stages.. For perspective: I was 0/12 in my first 12 PokerStars FL O8B MTTs. I've cashed in 10/32 since, and my overall ROI is like.. -65%. Pride sucks, and I'm going to go to my grave trying to get that f'n ROI back to 0. It's not like hold'em, where satelites and 45 man SNGs count toward it (45 man O8B tourneys *never* fill up unless the server is about to go down for the night), so I *have* to wade through the minefield on a nightly basis. You can play 30 sit in gos in an evening. . I get 2 cracks at O8B a day (I'm never at home/at work consistantly to play in the *obvious* +EV tourney, the PLO8 at 3:30 PM PST). Both fixed limit. Yep, that's my MTT life in a nutshell. Recently I've found the micro-limit FLO8B PLO8B cash games to be positively printing money for me, but I lose focus bad in cash games after about 30 orbits or so.I'm beyond stoked for the $4.40 challenge, though. Even considering Razz and O8B, NLHE is by far my best tourney game. I got something to prove, and I'm ready. Bring on the donks.

I really need to break something.Just so sick of sitngos at the moment.Cashed in 1 of my last 11, and that was a 3rd place in a lower buyin game.As chip leader on the bubble, a guy survives 5 allins, then I go out with KK<A9 for like 70% of the chips in play.I lose K7<K3 on the bubble (no krablar jokes please)I can't win a race. I never win a 40/60.I need to play through it. This afternoon I will play at least 20 sngs.

I know you said you don't let it affect your play, but when you're this frustrated it may be affecting your play in ways you don't consciously realize. Sometimes when you're running bad it's better to step away and clear your head than to force yourself to keep playing through it.
