Shove or call and look at the turn? My problem is that the check raise looks more like a made flush than a set, TP or overpair to me. That makes me think I have fewer outs and therefore hesitate to shove here.I've sat with the villain on previous occasions and found him to be pretty solid, nothing wild or crazy. As played I know that I should have just put him all in on the river...but for some reason I got the feeling he would fold to $9 vs $5 after I smooth called the turn - even though the pot is already $33. Is it ever worth doing this?
NoBBiR 0
You played it pretty much perfect although you're right that the raise looks more like a flopped flush than a TP or set hand.

Gene zzz 0
You aren't exactly getting 4 to 1 implied odds and your effective odds are very bad if that is a good made hand; I would not push with out the 4th card here but I can see an allin bet on the turn why call? he checked down the river fearing the flush so he missed his hand you get a crying call and his sure knowledge of what you had the loss of five bucks was him data mining you ;the turn was were he could have mistrusted you and called or lost his composure from then on by folding a K hi flush to your wild push; The 5d bet thing is like getting caught pissing on the street. no bet a dime and see if he getts mad or is releaved do something that brings he out like a bird flush him out with this 4 flush on the board (that well you )rather he never knew what hit him. And calling the check raise he could have had 108 also you cann't call with one diamond even if it is an ace so him having a made flush makes it a bad bet he cann't return enough to make that profitable. You are dumb luck in that case. Beside I don't think ace ten off suit ever made any money. You played it totally wrong on every street, you have to figure implied odds first pot odds only apply to bets were you know what hand he has so outs cann't change anything; just be glad he doesn't have a straight flush.
