So this is my last night in Aruba...Brag: Got some really good sushi at this place near the beach, was pretty cheap and unreal good. Also, there was a crazy fish tank with all sorts of exciting things going on.Beat: My dad tells a story that starts with: "So there's this player Erik Ryland"Variance: The story went from sad that he knew who Ryland was to hilarious when he said "His avatar is a picture of his own face, so we all started making fun of his eyebrows. He seemed kind of upset and said nobody has made fun of me about my eyebrows since high school" (I then inform him that Ryland is still in high school). To sum up: Ryland is known around the poker community, but only for his huge eyebrows.

I would lol if that happened. I figure eventually he'll probably make some TV final table, bust out in 8th and brag about it until the end of time.

im still not sold that many of these people that get these big online scores are winners when it comes to the live game, which, by the way, is real poker.

Doesn't work that way.Sushi isn't better "fresh" or cheaper closer to the source

Are you seriously saying sushi isn't at its best when its fresh? You eat old, raw fish? There is a sushi bar in the Centrepoint building and it is the nicest, freshest, most masterfully prepared stuff I've ever had.

I find it odd that your Dad not only plays online poker, but makes fun of people's eyebrows while doing so.

That can't be what he's saying...nobody would ever say that. I mean, it wouldn't even make any sense.

Yes, so do you. Most of the Sushi eaten here in the States has passed through the Tsujiki Fish Market in Tokyo. Almost ALL sushi has been frozen for 10 days at some point to kill parasites. Modern fishing trawlers flash freeze their catch. So, being closer to the source doesn't make the fish any "fresher" for sushi/sashimi

You really think it's just as good here as it is when it comes out of the ocean in Tokyo?
