Also, this isn't really necessary. If you're at a table where you feel the need to steal blinds to stay afloat, you should probably find a better table.

it wasn't a question of needing them at all but if the table was going to fold around to me and I could see the pot cheaply (granted it was a horrible starting hand, had other people even called I would've folded), I was willing to at least try to steal the blinds. They don't know I have a crap hand and if they are willing to let me walk away with the blinds than so be it (imo)

I prefer to do it with hands that can hit the flop, but I understand what you are saying. If they fold all the time, then sure, +EV is +EV, so go for it. However, you'll prolly make less money at a table where everyone is folding their blinds and shit preflop, than you will at a loose table.

I hate playing hands like this in this manner. I am a nutcase in LP and will open with a wide range but 83o certainlt is not in it. You are not looking to dteal blinds in a cash game, you are looking to hit a well disguised big hand. Save your LP raises for gap connectors and hands with some value.Also, if you are going to play this hand, as Acid said, bet it properly. Don't minraise preflop and actually bet the flop. I have noticed that you have a been minbetting and minraising a lot. This is bad. Raise to like 3-4 BB preflolp and then bet at least 3/4 of the pot on the flop.

or any street for that matter... this is a great point... & one worth remembering... also, don't min bet / minraise like ever... unless you're playing limit...
