I really seldom bluff big.
I won this hand through a bluff. But I am really self critical. So I always ask myself whether this play is + or - EV.
What do you guys think about this hand.

On the flop I actually gave up, because I didn't made my set. Normally I play 22 only for set value.
On the turn, I felt there is a decent chance I can win this pot with a big bet. Because I probably would play AK the same so far.
On the river He block-betted 1/2 pot into me. So I somehow thought he's weak. Maybe AQ, or any other 1-pair hand, which wanted to see the showdown cheaply.
So I raised him almost All-In, becuase I can't see him calling here.

What do you think about this bluff?

Flop is fine. The board is drawy and there's a good chance your opponent's range hit that board. After he checks behind, I'm fine with the way you played it as long as you don't do it too often.
Snamuh raises to $76.75, and is all in
BigKamp: yyou lose
BigKamp has 15 seconds left to act
BigKamp calls $24.50, and is all in
Seat 1: BigKamp (small blind) mucked [Ad Ac] - a full house, Aces full of Kings
Seat 2: Snamuh (big blind) showed [Kd Kh] and won ($102.50) with four of a kind, Kings
Snamuh: you lose

I think it is a spew, but it is going to work a lot of the time. I also like to bluff on dry boards, not draw heavy boards.

Would you play A-J this way? Cuz that's what you're representing...

Also... ummm... why did you bet like 90% of your stack on the river and not the whole thing? That's just weird...

I think this will end up being a -EV play but it might turn out marginal. Usually the donk bet on the river is a blocker, but it could be a last ditch effort for value when he has made his draw, and to make sure you don't check it down. You're almost always getting called by two pairs, sets and straight, and just folding out the busted draw hands that aren't interested anyway.

Also, I know it's 6 SH, but I really don't like the button raise with 22 to 5x. If you're concerned about limping and appearing weak, you could always make it 3 or 4. SH you're almost aways getting a call when you raise from a steal position, so I'm not sure I like 5x, unless it's your standard.

This move is read-dependent and whether you get called or not is read-dependent for the villain....and I would tend to stay away from it at your blind level. I think the reason you won the hand is because the villain donkbetted the river and didn't have AJ or better, so he had to pitch it as you could've played AJ this way. (thank your stars he didn't have 78)

I can't put you on anything but AK, AQ, AJ, or 78 here on the river. Say for some reason I decided to be stupid as UTG1 and lead the river, I can't think that you would be willing to raise me like that unless you had 78 or AJ. If I've seen you play a lot of suited connectors, I'm easily pitching, but if you play TAG and rarely raise with connectors preflop....meeehhh if I have AK/AQ I'm calling at least 50% here I think.

He's representing 78 as much as AJ here, unless he's hardly ever shown down connectors.
