Will this guy play any ace or does he fold weak aces from the SB? If it's folded around, most players will raise from the SB with any ace. 44, 66 and AK are definitely in his range but I think this is most likely another Ace.What do people think the really weak bet of $8 on the turn means?

if you are in the SB?
... and Temp Nuts regains retard status with a vengeance... oopsYeah... umm hmmm.... well he's got to have an ace/boat if he bet into you on the turn, unless it's exactly 7-5 clubs.... but 7-5 clubs should be re-raising the flop if he's aggro... geeze...Eh, it's BvB i still play it the same and pray he has a weak ace. You can't exactly fold and on the turn he's told you he's not folding. Since the chips are destined to get in this pot just put him in now.

On the turn A4, A6, AK, 66 & 44 have you beat (24 hands).A2, A3, A5, A7, A8, A9, AT, AJ (32 hands) are behind. He is aggressive, it's blind vs blind and from his perspective you are playing back at him. Most of the time you're ahead.Unlucky if he spiked that 8 on you.

It's standard imo.I don't get his turn $8 into 30ish though. Probably had a underfull, 44 or 66, but what can you do. After the turn comes off, you're going to war 100%.

granted I'm still learning but my thoughts are he called your reraise preflop so he's at least holding an ace. Probably checks the flop to see if his two pair are good, you only raised half the pot which is a good feeler bet to see where you're at and probably thinks he can put you off your hand. Ace on the turn and he's probably got you beat, so he puts out a weak raise (which would seem fishy to me) and you go all in. You miss the river, I think he had you beat with the ace on the turn...I think if you went with a pot size bet after the flop, he probably would have folded since it would've been aces with a low end pair, your outs are higher, esp. if the board paired, it would've counterfeited his small pair.maybe I'm thinking too much?so how'd it turn out?

This is obviously standard. I just say something like "f*cking PokerStars" to myself when he turns over the low set. There's really no other way to go about this hand.

It's usually a player trying to get correct odds for his flush draw

he has KK... ummm yeah. He went on to berate my call preflop with AQs... I love donkeys
wait, wait...he complained about you calling with AQ? wtf...he's the one who should be worried, esp. seeing an ace on the flop, it's the one card you need to beat him and you got it.as much as I am a donkey, I'm a donkey for being inexperienced, not for being a rude bastard.

curious what anyone thinks of my thought process above as a new player.

I think it is a little weak
care to elaborate? you mean I play too conservative/always put an opponent on a better hand?

that part, seems a little weak, also don't put people on an ace just because they called your raise. But fear the Ace high boards... I dunno it is complicated. At least you are thinking, that beats 90% of players.

book learnin has done me good :club: I hear you though, I'm just playing the hand in my head and trying to put my own read on it. thanks for the feedback though. you know if you and I were playing that, I would've sucked out on the river on you (again)
