I don't think there's much I could have done about either of these. They were consecutive hands on the same table, but I want some reassurance on my play. Hand 1.... maybe fold on the river? I think I was getting about 10 or 11:1 on the river call though. Hand 2.... raise on the turn is correct, given that this player was LAG?***** Hand History for Game 1956608947 *****$2/$4 Hold'em - Tuesday, April 26, 16:41:22 EDT 2005Table Table 39275 (Real Money)Seat 6 is the buttonTotal number of players : 10 Seat 2: scalper4U ( $45.5 )Seat 3: TBNOWD ( $95 )Seat 4: mbburch ( $117.5 )Seat 5: tex2mex ( $199.04 )Seat 7: wizz00r ( $49 )Seat 8: Eyeless666 ( $102.75 )Seat 9: richman008 ( $139.64 )Seat 10: MantenoJay ( $66.5 )Seat 1: ErnieBilko ( $78 )Seat 6: arepublican ( $16.37 )wizz00r posts small blind [$1].Eyeless666 posts big blind [$2].** Dealing down cards **Dealt to mbburch [ Ah Kh ]richman008 folds.MantenoJay folds.ErnieBilko folds.scalper4U folds.TBNOWD calls [$2].mbburch raises [$4].tex2mex folds.arepublican folds.wizz00r calls [$3].Eyeless666 calls [$2].TBNOWD calls [$2].** Dealing Flop ** [ Ac, Th, 2d ]wizz00r bets [$2].Eyeless666 folds.TBNOWD calls [$2].mbburch raises [$4].wizz00r raises [$4].TBNOWD folds.mbburch calls [$2].** Dealing Turn ** [ Jh ]wizz00r bets [$4].mbburch calls [$4].** Dealing River ** [ 5c ]wizz00r bets [$4].>You have options at Table 12939 Table!.mbburch calls [$4].***** Hand History for Game 1956612368 *****$2/$4 Hold'em - Tuesday, April 26, 16:42:08 EDT 2005Table Table 39275 (Real Money)Seat 7 is the buttonTotal number of players : 10 Seat 2: scalper4U ( $45.5 )Seat 3: TBNOWD ( $89 )Seat 4: mbburch ( $99.5 )Seat 5: tex2mex ( $199.04 )Seat 7: wizz00r ( $75 )Seat 8: Eyeless666 ( $98.75 )Seat 9: richman008 ( $139.64 )Seat 10: MantenoJay ( $66.5 )Seat 1: ErnieBilko ( $78 )Seat 6: arepublican ( $16.37 )Eyeless666 posts small blind [$1].richman008 posts big blind [$2].** Dealing down cards **Dealt to mbburch [ Kh Kd ]MantenoJay folds.ErnieBilko folds.scalper4U calls [$2].TBNOWD folds.>You have options at Table 32983 Table!.mbburch raises [$4].tex2mex folds.arepublican calls [$4].wizz00r folds.Eyeless666 folds.richman008 calls [$2].scalper4U calls [$2].** Dealing Flop ** [ 4d, Js, Tc ]richman008 checks.scalper4U checks.mbburch bets [$2].arepublican calls [$2].richman008 folds.scalper4U calls [$2].** Dealing Turn ** [ 2s ]scalper4U bets [$4].mbburch raises [$8].arepublican calls [$8].scalper4U folds.** Dealing River ** [ 7c ]>You have options at Table 12939 Table!.mbburch bets [$4].arepublican is all-In [$2.37]

You don't raise the turn with a straight flush draw and top pair?

I don't like pulling a stop n go on the turn like trhat. What do we gain by raising the turn. To me it looks like we're up against a set, and I don't like raising a set there as we are now limited in our outs a little if a heart pairs the board

is there a hand converter that works? I tried using the one in the sticky, but it put a bunch of weird script in there. I'm with Kdawg on this one.... why raise the turn on the first hand? I'm almost certainly behind, but I'm not raising for value. 1st hand, I lose to AT-- no surprise. Could I have folded the river?2nd hand, I lose to JTo, big surprise.

Try changing the format to Pet the Pot.Or just do what I do and change it to Plain Text so I can post it in my blog. :D

1st hand. No. If there was any time to fold it would have been the flop. I am not crazy about a fold there either, but if you are going to check-call the turn, you might as well do it on the river too. I have had people raise me with much weaker hands than two pair on a flop like that. He could, in fact, have ANY ace, not necessarily two pair. In a stronger game, a semi-bluff raise on the turn would probably be correct.2nd hand. He should have raised you on the flop. And the turn... He called a raise with a weak hand and played it like an idiot. Thank him first for calling your raise with that, then thanking him again for playing it so passively.
