So...me and a couple of buddies are thinking about getting about 9 players together to play a poker tournament. What we're thinking is everyone throws in 20-30 bucks to buy a nice set of nexgen chips online...and then play a series of tournaments with a point system to determine who wins the chips.
My questions:
1) How many games do you think we should play? (We were thinking 10 because then it'd be possible for everyone to win at least one game)
2) How many points should be awarded to first place, second place, third, fourth, etc.?
and,
3) Is $20 bucks for 10 tournaments even big enough to be considered a tournament you'd want to win?
I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts on this one...we were also thinking of doing a tournament like this head's up style.

1) I think this i up to you. If I were going to do 10 games I think I would make different level, similar to poker superstars on FSN.
2) I asked this a while back and got some good advice: http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/poker-foru...6&hl=points
Basically just make the point system top heavy.
3) I'd make it more for 10 games, but hey its your tourney do what you and your friends want/can afford.

If you all put in 100, you could get a 1000 set of paulsons instead. Or something like that. Why not go for the best if you're gonna get really nice clay ones?
