Does anybody find the general play to be different at various LA casinos? Say Commerce, Hustler, and Bicycle? The only thing I have noticed is Hustler seems to have younger people.

Commerce has the best games, the Bike has the best food. Hollywood park is a s--thole, haven't spent much time at Hustler.

I like Hustler a lot. It's true that there are a lot of younger players, but I think that makes for a fun atmosphere. I've seen too many older people take a bad beat really poorly. Hustler has a good atmosphere and if you care, there's usually a few celebrities playing there during the weekends.

1) Commerce Casino - By far the biggest of them all. Probably any game and limit you can imagine. I hate those damn metallic chips though, so I refuse to play there. Also, I hate the ginormous cafeteria like atmosphere. It's loud and obnoxious there. Food is okay. You'll see the occasional celebrity (Ben Affleck? Leo DiCrapio? the older kid brother from Home Improvement - not Jonathan Taylor Thomas. LOL.)2) Bicycle Casino - The bike is a bit smaller than Commerce. Still the giant cafeteria like atmosphere which I can't stand. Lots of different games and limits as well. Never ate there. Also don't like the metallic chips again. I personally think it's a shady casino.3) Hustler Casino - By far the nicest of the LA Casinos. Mostly a Hold 'em casino. They get a stud or omaha table going once in a while. Food is good. Staff is nice. Nice, clean, plastic/clay chips. You'll see celebrities here too. (James Wood). Also, occasionally you'll see all the pro's sit at Larry Flynt's table (Ivey, Chan, Greenstein, etc) like vultures feeding on a carcass (Flynt) playing 2000-4000 7-card stud (last time I saw). Big jackpots for 6-12 and up. ($40k+)4) Hawaiian Gardens Casino - Maybe bigger than Bicycle. A big giant cafeteria again under a giant tent. Lots of loud obnoxious Vietnamese players. Lots of different games and limits. Food is okay. Dirty plastic/clay chips. Big jackpots during certain hours of the day ($100k)5) Hollywood Park Casino - Pretty ghetto. Lots of games and limits again. High rake. Stupid metallic chips. Low jackpots. I highly suggest you don't eat the food. 6) Crystal Park Casino - I see no reason why you would go there.7) Normandie Casino - Small card club. Might be your cup of tea. Good food though.

I just played two days at the Hustler and it is my new favorite in LA. It is quieter and cleaner. The dealers a little better than Bicycle or Commerce and they play only one blind. No small blind adds up to a little edge for the player. Also from 11a-12p and 1p-2p they offer $100 to any pocket aces that get beat. This Sat and Sunday I saw at least four players cash in on that one.Koroshiya

Regarding Hustler's one blind... That only applies to the smaller limit games. In 3-6, typically BB is 3 and SB is 1 but at Hustler, there is only BB. But in 6-12 and higher limits, there will be 2 blinds, 6 for BB and 2 for SB or in 15-30, 15 for BB and 10 for SB.

I normally play at Commerce, and agree with most of the comments above. I think I'll be trying Hustler based on these recommendations - what NL games do they offer? How are the players?
