I am pretty sure not too long ago people were using credit/debit cards to deposit onto fulltilt.

It was 2 months ago....

I would try your credit/debit card first, but if that doesn't work, I believe ePassporte is the most popular method.

Are you good?

If yes : no idea how to get money online
If no : debit cards still work on Absolute Poker after "pre-authorization"

Just watch out for those superuser accounts.

What is a superuser account? Are those the people with the off color screennames like bigdogpcktfives? I've been wondering what the off color screennames meant- I figured either Absolutepoker sponsered them or they were VIP Elite status.

Ok , so couple hours later - Here is where I stand -

I logged onto stars and got into a support chat with one of thier reps. They told me that I could use western union . Fantastic . I got this crazy email saying I needed to send money to this Chika in San Jose, COSTA RICA . And to make sure that the western union reps didnt convert my USD to Peso. Cool.

Went to the local grocery store , and up to the customer service counter where they do Western Union. Filled out the paperwork correctly , and I mean I scrutinized to make sure this Costarican chick's name was spelled correctly, because apparently success of this transfer hinders upon that. Got all my receipts and paperwork in front of me from this process. Back at home, after I gave 200.00 to the western union woman , I had to enter in my MTCN Number, which is like the code to unlock all the $$.

So I put in the code , and I get a message saying Pokerstars will now verify that I made this payment. I will receive an email notice with 60 minutes.

24 minutes go by and I get this :

"Hello JimmyAcesUp,

We have not been able to validate your Western Union transfer in the amount of $200.00.
An email with further information will be sent to you shortly.

Regards,

PokerStars Support Team"

That sucks.

MoneyGram's fee is less than WU and you don't have to worry about putting part of someones last name in the middle name spot.

Many Costaricans have two last names like Jose Mulondo Esporante and if you put Mulondo as the middle name, you're screwed.

If you are trying the credit card/ debit card method..... it depends on your bank whether or not it will work. Bank of America cards do not work. I don't know what banks do work. If people would list which bank's credit or debit cards work, that would be much more helpful than some of these responses. Alas, it's the general poker forum.

Maybe the multi-gazillion dollar Poker Stars franchise has designed an elaborate ruse to pilfer you of your 200.00 USD.

You need to calm a little...

First off, I've gotten this email also. Look at your reciept/copy of your western union transfer. When I got this email and checked the reciept, the persons name is spelled wrong. Just call the toll free number pokerstars provides you (or go on western unions website), call them, give them the right info and you should have it in stars within a half hour.

Yea, I would def try this IF I had spelled the name incorrectly . I have the Western Union copy and it matches everything that I was supposed to do. What this Toll free stars number? Cant find it anywhere.
