this wasn't answered in another post, so i'll post it again. i've just started getting into 6-max limit play. it's pretty fun, but my, the swings can be rough. i'm doing 1/2 right now, and i just want to know if i'm doing some general things right.so part 1 of this set of posts is about pocket pairs. let me know if this is good.UTG, i fold 22-66 rather than limp (as i hate giving the blinds free cards from UTG, and i definitely can't raise those. i also don't know if the pot will be multiway, so i feel uncomfortable limping). i raise 77+ everytime..MP (second seat), i fold 22-66 if the pot hasn't been opened (same reason), call 22-66 if UTG called, raise 77+ if the pot hasn't been opened, call 77-99 if UTG called, fold 22-99 if UTG raised, and raise/three-bet TT+ everytime.CO (third seat), fold 22-66 if the pot hasn't been opened, call 22-66 in an unraised pot if someone called before me, raise 77+ if the pot hasn't been opened, raise 77+ if only ONE person called before me, call 77-99 if more than one person called before me in an unraised pot, fold 22-99 if the pot is raised and not multiway, cold-call 22-99 if the pot is raised and there is at least one caller (should i be folding 22-99 in raised pots with only one caller? should i not cold-call until there are two or more callers?), and raise/three-bet TT+ everytime.Button, basically the same as CO. i still fold 22-66 if the pot is unopened because i feel uncomfortable blind stealing with them (there's just no visibility post-flop).is this okay?aseem

Actually i will limp with 22-77 in first 2nd and third position. What I won't do is call a raise in 2nd or 3rd position with 22-55. I will call a raise with 66-88 and reraise with 99-AA.I will limp with 22-55. To me it's along the same principle of completing the small blind with any two suited in a full table. If you hit your set you are golden but you can get away from it easily if the flop doesn't come down in your favor.
