Just wondering what you would do in these situations... thanks for any responses. I'm building a roll from a $5 loan on FT in the 1.25 45s and this is my first 90 man.

Before this hand I've been folding like crazy (card dead) and looking for a good spot to either double or steal some dead money. Table is loose/passive. No reads (I don't use any tracking software yet) What's your move here?

3 folds, MP2 calls t300 (pot was t650), CO calls t300 (pot was t950), Hero???

Final three, I've changed my game from extremely tight to extremely loose over the past 15 hands or so; villain seems to have noticed and has responded by 3-betting my last two raises (I folded). He min 3-bets me here :S. He's been pretty tight for the entire final table, and seems to be a competent player. What should I do?

What kind of hands have been limping in? If its a wide range and you havent noticed a lot of limp/trapping going on, I think a shipple is in order on the first hand... then again A9 is not my ideal hand to do this with... I'd much prefer something like mid-hi suited connectors, that are less likely to be dominated when called.

On the second hand I could go either way, but if you feel like he is pushing you around, you have to make a stand sooner rather than later. A lot of times I'll limp in with a low pair like this and then shove when he comes over the top of me in a situation like yours. I probably shove both hands.

I shove the first hand. A9 is good enough there, and there is enough money in the pot.

Second hand I call the minraise, and lead out $12k at most flops that don't contain a 6.

The first one is imo pretty read-dependent. If you think the limpers in front of you will respect your shove and fold, then go ahead. I generally fold this one and wait for a spot where I am first to enter the pot.

The second one is tougher. I would probably call this one. If the texture on the flop seems ok, I will make a ~10 000+ bet. If you hit your 6 you should probably do the same.

Hand 1: I'd probably shove. MP2 has a good stack but you still have enough FE to make him think carefully about calling. And CO will bail unless he's trapping with something strong. It is read dependent to a degree, but I think this is a good spot to steal some chips.

Hand 2: Final three of a 90-man, so you've made the "big" money. You have your image to your advantage here. BB has been playing back at you and watching you fold, and it's unlikely he's holding a bigger PP, so I say go for it. He'll probably back down.

Results: These were the only two hands I got my money in behind for the entire tourney. Looking back on the final hand, I think I should have just called/re-evaluated on flop. My shove was bad but i was getting frustrated xD

Thanks for the responses

Hand 1: Pretty crazy, all those Aces. CO's an idiot for not raising/pushing w/ AJ in position against MP2, but that's the kind of play you see regularly at that level.

Hand 2: I don't think the push-reraise was a bad play. Flat calling would mean you would have already put in 1/5 of your stack before the flop and you'd be in a pretty tough spot if any high cards fall on the flop. If he's playing paint, which I thought was more likely in this scenario, he has a 1/3 chance to connect on the flop and dominate your 66. I think that was a good spot to take a stand against a player who has picked up on your looseness and has been playing back at you. Don't second-guess your decision because he happened to have a big pair - there are lots of other hands he could have been raising with.
