tskillz187 0
fixed, sorryNot exactly fixed, I'm going to assume you all have about $10. Your shove is playing scared poker IMO, you're prob only getting called by sets, the straight, and maybe KQ. You want to get called by hands like 78, 108, J9, J8. Stuff like that, shutting him out of the hand doesn't make too much sense.I would reraise to like $5.80ish.

Metternich 0
78, 108, J9, J8I kind of doubt these are even in play, given the preflop raise. My thought was that I was getting paid by J10, an overpair, or a lower set.
Dictius 0
I think they are still in play. Many people will occasionally call with suited connectors in position for 4xBB raise.

It's about maximizing against his other holdings.

I think this is standard if you play laggish and are doing this with a variety of different hands (not just super combo draws). If you're tag, than Tskilz is right on saying that you're probably folding a lot of hands that you want to call that a smaller reraise would bring a long. There's too many scare cards not to reraise, but raising to 5 is probably pretty good and getting the rest of them in on the turn.As a side note (on the off chance this is a disguised cooler post) I once folded this flop w/ top set live. Villian showed nuts, I posted the hand and still came to the conclusion that I was a retard for folding.

It's OK to make a good-sized bet on the flop here. A lot of two pair hands will interpret your move as protecting overs or TPTK and come along with their overs or TPTK or two pair. Bet enough so that a logical turn bet commits all these hands to this pot.Assuming the action we had and assuming we have $7 stacks, I think we bet around $2.75. If stacks are $10, then make it $4.75 or so.
Scott3705 0
We don't fold sets on the flop. .... ..... .... retard.Yeah, I know. I kept that in mind two weekends ago and lost a $2500 pot at a 2/5 table getting set over set.
mtdesmoines 2
Yeah, I know. I kept that in mind two weekends ago and lost a $2500 pot at a 2/5 table getting set over set. I solve the dilemma by not hitting sets. Ever. No, I mean: evar. In three nights online this week, I played just under 2,000 hands. In that time, I had 111 pocket pairs. I hit zero sets, taking almost all of them to the turn. You read that right, and yeah, and I counted. One-hundred-eleven pocket pairs and no sets. I have a standing bounty at the local casino -- first person at the table who sees me win a pot by showing down a set and mentions my standing offer gets 10% of the pot. Offer has stood for three months and I haven't paid it out yet. I don't know how you all hit sets. I can't do it. I cannot do it.
