It's a pleasure to read an informative book on poker which is not overly technical. Diary of a Mad Poker Player is an interesting addition to my library of poker books because it actually informs my game in an entertaining manner. Mr. Sparks weaves useful information and tips into interesting narratives based on his casino game experiences and on-line adventures. I can find a dozen books that will dryly tell me that if player "X" does "Y" when I am in late position, I should do "C". This book illustrates in a colorful way how the situation would play out and, in a manner of practical, real-life illustration, makes clear why "C" is the best move. This method paints a picture which I can recall and use days later at the casino. If you pick it up it'll cost you less than one BB in a $15 Hold 'Em game and benefit you more. http://www.madpokerplayer.comKoroshiya
