Alexander Ovechkin, LW
J.S. Giguere, G
Chris Pronger, D
Thomas Vanek, LW (I know, two LWs, but I can't pass on him here)
Michael Cammalleri, C (early?)
Martin Havlat, RW
Jay Boumeester, D
Michael Nylander, C
Brian Rafalski, D
Zach Parise, LW
Dwayne Roloson, G
Jason Pominville, RW
Mattias Ohlund, D
David Legwand, C
Dainius Zubrus, RW
Robyn Regehr, D
I haven't played fantasy hockey for a couple years, as I like to rotate my fantasy sports to maintain some sort of a life. Baseball I play sporadically, but I rotate Hockey, Football, and Basketball from year to year.
At the time, I liked my team, but I'm starting to think I was a little rusty. I think I'm light on PIM, and I'm considering dropping someone for Huet (who was dropped by someone else for reasons I can't figure out). Thoughts?

Nice lookin team, and it's painfully obvious that no one else in your league knows what they're doing...which is always nice. No way Vanek should have still been out there in the 4th round, he's a points and +/- machine.
I wouldn't personally take Huet, as I see Carey Price making a strong case for the starting job in Montreal straight out of the gate. Wait till after camp to see if he sticks or not, he doesn't have much else to prove in the minors after winning the Calder Cup for Hamilton. Nylander will get you at least 60 assists setting up Ovechkin all season, and probably 25 goals on top.
Overall, very strong team, but if there's a better option than Regehr you should probably take it. He's not much of a fantasy horse, there almost has to be someone better.

He's been soooooo far under the radar.

I'm ok with the pick too, but considering that Nylander and Havlat were still available there, makes me wonder who else was too...
Cammy could go either way, he put up a lot of goals and points last season but kinda got screwed by the team and the arbitrators, plus the Kings have brought in quite a lot of offense in the off season. If he's still a top scoring option *and* if his head/heart are in the right place, he'll put up big numbers again this year. Personally, I think he might tail off a bit.
I need to just stop talking between now and the FCP draft.

I'd be happy with Camallari as my 4th rounder in a 20 team league like the FCP one, I think.

Here are my keeper options, the rest of my roster is pretty much serviceable junk :
C - Richards TB
C - Staal PIT
W - Heatley OTT
W - Morrow DAL
D - Redden OTT
G - Lundqvist NYR
So my first idea since last spring is to go with Heatley - Richards - Redden - Staal. But that's kind of weak because there is so much depth at center as we only have 2 starters compared to wingers. I'm expecting Morrow to have a huge rebound season, I picked him pretty early last year and was obv disappointed with him getting injured. So I'm really torn between keeping Morrow or Staal.
Now my other option is to keep Lundqvist and go with either Heatley and Redden or Heatley and Richards. I absolutely hate letting go of either one, but I can't see myself heading into the draft without a d-man, so I'm leaning more towards Redden.
Thoughts / predictions on Richards - Staal - Morrow - Redden ???
Oh yeah, I also have C - Parise NJ and W - Brunette COL. On my depth chart, Staal > Parise and Morrow > Brunette.
Discuss.
- I will donate $200 to the Daniel Alfredsson clown academy
- I will not watch hockey for a a period of 12 months
- I will wear a Senators jersey and say I am a Senators fan while walking up and down Yonge Street
- I will praise the city of Ottawa and their fine hockey team for a period of 1 year
- I will acknowledge that hell has finally frozen over
- I will cancel LeafsTV and NHL Centre Ice Package
- I will also give my fantasy team for a total of one year to an associate

Yeah, with two players in the top ten of The Hockey News top 50, and a Stanley Cup final appearance, clearly an overrated team. Much better off stocking up on Leafs.....

Must be nice to be in a league where everyone you're drafting against is a moron. Sick team, especially in a 12 team league.
My friend Mark Visser is from Markham and still works for the town in some financial capacity. Town Centre Boulevard I think...I only know these things because I crash at his house during the November memorabilia shows on Airport Rd.

Yeah, Mats Sundin was a second round pick, around 20th overall I think, enough said.
Exactly my thoughts on Huet, how can the Habs not give Price a shot? With a league full of idiots, I should be able to snap him up when he does get the job.
I only picked Regehr for PIM, but apparently he's cut down more than I thought (+27 isn't bad though).I'll peruse the waiver wire for a better option.
Edit - Thinking of grabbing Shane O'Brian, tons of PIM, should get more ice time in Tampa, may even see the PP behind Boyle.
I'm not giddy about him, since his groin will probably fall apart in training camp, but I needed a RW, and he was clearly the best available.

Again, Mats Sundin in the second round...
Does your friend know where to find weed in this town? As far as I can tell, this place is dry. (sw, but not really)

Put me down for the full amount. Leafs will NOT finish ahead of Sens..... if 50 is your max, I'll take fifty....
