Rebuy Freeroll, Strat. Suggestions Requested

I qualified for the rebuy freeroll as described below at Bugsy's Club. Just wanted to get some opinions on what the best strategy is for using the rebuys: Use them all at once and start with a bigger stack, or gamble early on and use the rebuys as a back-up plan and add-on just before the break. So far I think I've earned the buy-in plus 4 rebuys.$15,000 Loyalty FreerollSaturday 8th September 2pm CST $15,000 added, No Limit Holdem 20 minute rounds, 2000 starting chips with rebuys available up to the first break. 500 BBPs EARNED from 9st July to 11.55pm Friday 7th September will get an automatic seat in this event. Every extra 500 BBPs earned will give a rebuy, up to a maximum of 9 rebuys. All rebuys can be taken at any stage up to the first break regardless of chip stack size, meaning you can start the event with 20.000 chips, if you have earned the maximum number of rebuys. There is a maximum entry for this event of the first 1800 players who qualify.

Do this but be very cautious in the early stages of the tournament. Meaning, make sure you're well ahead before you put all your chips in the middle. A lot of players who decide to use their rebuys as needed will be gambling it up like man men. Since you have no more rebuys, don't do this - adopt a tight strategy. Don't put your stack at risk against multiple opponents preflop if you can avoid it. Play super tight as long as you have the chips to do so. Once the field settles down, you can start chipping away and eventually find a safer way to double up and start crushing short stacks. GL.

If anyone's interested, I squeaked into the money and finished in 40th place out of 694 for $90. Not bad for a freeroll but it took damn near 5 hours to get that far, and being a cash game player I don't know how you tourney players have the patience. But I guess I can't complain, I feel like I played well, perhaps up until the very end when maybe I should've pushed in one or two spots when I had a slightly bigger stack and more fold equity. I'll probably post a couple of hands from the tourney to get some input. AQo gave me the most trouble...Thanks again for the suggestions above. I believe it was the correct strategy as I was able to pick up a good amount of chips early from other big stacks by playing tight and waiting for good spots.

What do you mean "downloadable?" They are emailed to you, up to your last 100 hands. I wish you were also able to bring them up in another screen like FTP offers, just to quickly find out what an opponent had.But yeah, it's decent. Not as cartoony. Has treated my bankroll quite well last two months.

Yeah, that's what I was talking about. Wish they'd set that up so PokerTracker would work on there.
