What is the deal with these step tournaments? Maybe I'm missing something, but it seems that the only advantage is for the house. They're just encouraging you to parlay.

The advantage does go to the house by far. I don't even know why I bothered entering it. I just played it once though from Step 1 and am now at Step 4. I don't really feel like playing it much, I wish I could just sell my entry and get cash back for it, that'd be nice. I think they should give you that option of using your freeroll to the next level or just cash out
But, then again most people would be cashing when they get to Step 3.

I really like the steps tournaments and I think itīs great to bbe able to win $9000 for only $11. But thatīs what I think, and Iīm gonna keep playing it.

I agree with the last post... If you only spend $11... and could win for 4th $2400... sounds like a nice return to me... and all you have to do is get top 4 (sometimes not even that good) in 4 two table tourneys. I've only tried once, and got to step 2 and took a bad beat... but I think they're a nice deal if you are confident you can get through em.

Haven't really gotten into them...yet. Its alot like the Foxwoods Act I-II-III, of course Party is making out like champ, let them..I think this is a much better deal for the better players, The levels move slower then the normal SNG's and if you can hit the 5th step and money it you are making a big score regardless of what step you bought in for (unless of course you just bought directly into 5). If you played in or watched the 5th level you'll see the players/play isn't that much better then any other level, it just plays very aggressive. One big Parlay...sure, it plays to the gamblers which is 99.9% of the ppl playing. Hey for 11 bucks you can get at worst a couple hours of solid experience in.....I don't think anyone will be making a living off of these things but 9K is being paid out all day long, might as well take a couple of shots....

itz not such a bad concept, but I still wish they'd let you sell the entries, instead your forced to go all the way to Step 5. I mean, you gotta say it'd piss you off if you got to Step 5 and placed 5th. But, still I'd rather put my focus towards playing cash games and making my hourly rather than taking my shot at a big prize. Still, I'll eventually get around to playing my Step 4, I just don't play on party no more/
