Most of the times you should bet, the rest you should check-raise (usually if someone's raised before the flop) to shut out the rest or make them call two cold :D
Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

Occasionally, you have to fold bad draws to big action of course, but folding a draw on the flop is pretty rare, usually there's a pair on board, or you have a very vulnerable draw

Why would you want to shut anyone out when you're on a draw? I will usually raise if the preflop raiser was to my right, so everyone can call 1, then 1 more if he raises again. I'll check raise if I think a bet is coming from my left, so I can get everyone in for 1 or 2, maybe 3 or 4 bets. I'm assuming you have a draw for a winning hand though. Of course, vulnerable draws are different. I am assuming your OESD will give you the nuts or second nuts or you're drawing at a good flush, not some 5 high junk.

i find myself wanting to check-call so i can set up a check-raise on the more expensive street. if i bet out, i cant c/r the turn, and if i c/r the flop i can't c/r the turn. thoughts?

Vade is correct, I don't understand why this isn't quite obvious.

Also, being that this is such an ambiguous question, it warrants an ambiguous answer.either bet or check/raise given the pre-flop action.of course your exact position and when you bet matters too.

no problem.there will be situations too, when folding is correct.you have to assume your pot odds, and in most situations with draws like this and reads on the table, your implied odds
