Money022 0
The villian in this hand is known to bluff and also call off with second pair at times. I flop TP/TK and get called. I decide to check the turn as I feel he may take a stab at the river if he thinks my flop bet was nothing more than a c-bet. When he checks I decide to put out a value bet. Royal_Tour 0
This is actually a big issue with my game.I mean, without knowing much on villain, why is he calling your flop bet? unless its a hand like AJ, A,10.. etc...usually i miss a lot of river bets because i hate betting on a board that appears as though the draws (in this case, straight draw) gets there.but as i think when he checks the river after u checked the turn, i'd make a bet.however, today i saw a guy flop quads, he check called the flop, then checked the turn, and his opponent checked through, which means he should be beting the river, but he checked, and his opponent checked through again, so quads made peanuts. cuz he sucked.i dont know where i was goin wit hthat, but meh
Craigdog 0
With this hand I bet on every street, If he is a loose caller like you say then lets extract the maximum from the hand, I don't like the turn check, your giving him chance to draw or get 2 pair for free! fjl2nd 0
I would have kept betting on the turn but still I don't see why you wouldn't make a bet on the end. Unless he has a fluke straight, I think the hand is yours. I guess AJ is a possibility too.
mtdesmoines 2
I keep betting this all the way through.
Cholst Puck 0
I would have bet out the turn, about $7 or so, if he calls that or raises you then you're possibly in trouble, my money would be on a small set. 7s or 9s likely.
Money022 0
Okay, so keep on betting then. As for the river, I made a value bet and get a weee bit'o a surprise.PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver Cards)Hero ($68.80)MP ($60.65)Button ($11)SB ($36.90)BB ($59.20)Preflop: Hero is UTG with , . As I mentioned in my original post, I checked the turn to get my opponent to make a play at the pot on the river. He just so happened to go with the check/raise instead of leading out.So it's $11 to call. I know the villian will bluff and is loose to the point where he'll make calls with second pair. bstark94 0
This is why being out of position sucks. AK UTG is tough to play, especially in a situation like this. I probably call the eleven bucks, if he's a loose guy capable of making a play at you.

I was hoping to induce a bluff on the river since he was out of position. I wasn't expecting the check raise, but based on my history with him I'm thinking this is a bluff just as often as it is a hand I can beat.
shay_41_41 0
I think you should bet on the turn, if he calls the bet on the turn than check the river.
Money022 0
Well the thread has seemed to die down.I chose to call and the villian showed T8s for the nut straight on the turn.
