I assume we flat called preflop because we thought we were behind. We're still behind, then. Check.

well I don't know if I am behind but I didn't see what reraising would do, besides bloat the pot, they would both call with a wide range... I dunno blah

As enticing as betting $6.25 is I think I'm c/f this hand. If I did bet $6.25 I'd fold to C/R and if he flat called me I'd stack off on turn.Basically what David says makes sense.

It's going OK. The injuries are more annoying than painful or debilitating. Thanks for asking. Now, somebody needs to jump in here and say bet, or this thread will be boring.

I just don't see how betting is good here... we bet, villain calls, we go to the turn not knowing much more than what we did preflop (assuming we feel we are behind). On the other hand, we bet, villain check-raises, then we dump the hand. And yet on the other hand, (er, uh foot,) we check behind and we go to the turn knowing absolutely nothing. So pick your poison?

I think checking here is too weak but maybe I am wrong... I mean this is short handed, the SB has a 2/3rds stack. We flop all unders and we are just going to check fold?

Checking is weak. Are we only in the hand to catch a set on the Flop? No over cards means we bet.
how much? notice the SB only has like $13 something left in his stack.

Not sure it matters. If we just go with something like 1/2 pot it means we are likely to get raised and still have to call. It also encourages some draws and underpairs to stick around and improve. I push $13 at him and force the decision on him. If he folds, great! If he has us beat with an over pair or set, then ok, I guess we still have a couple of outs

If we aren't only in the hand to catch a set we should have reraised preflop, which I wouldn't have a problem with. Once we just call we are playing for set value unless it becomes painfully obvious our hand is good. (possibly another undercard and check on turn then we fire or a weakish 1/2 pot bet out of him). The only hands I can think of that reraise out of SB and then check flop are big hands we crashed, or two rags that are way behind us anyways. The thing is his reraise wasn't very big so it looks like he wanted action with a big hand, not to steal it pf with rags.

If you dont ask for a chip count, bet everything the guy has but like 2 bucks, and then he shoves, just fold, then you know you're beat :club:
