Wily 0
At the bi-weekly (or now more likely, daily) no limit college poker games, I'm known as the guy who can't bluff. Many have said that I am simply incapable of it , as I stick out as the tightest player at almost any time. Indeed, I find my super-tight style to be the most profitable in a loose, wild game where hardly anyone folds to anything less than an all in. The blinds are .25/.5, but they might as well be 1/2, since a $3 or $4 raise preflop is necesary to isolate at all, and the bet sizes post-flop follow accordingly. Here was a hand from last night when I think I exploited my table image quite well, in a once-a-year bluff.I'm in BB with Q 9 , Aseem (a fairly loose/aggressive player who happens to post here) is sitting to my left in UTG, and there's a conservative grad student sitting in MP. There's probably a small raise preflop, and us three are still in on the flop, with a pot of about $6.Flop: A K 10 Aseem checks, grad student bets $2. Usually, this would be an easy fold here, but I feel no real strength here from either player, and I think I can take it away from them later. I call, along with Aseem.Turn: A K 10 A Now, Aseem bets out $3, the grad student calls. I'm pretty sure Aseem has a king and thinks it's good, and the grad student may have an ace or a draw. I represent a made hand here while also holding flush draw, and raise to $15! Aseem thinks for a while as he usually does, folds. I'm quite happy about this, as he's one of the few in our usual game who doesn't believe in the immaulate nature of my playing (he's called me down with king high once to a pot-sized bet on the river...)Graduate thinks for a long while, checking back at his cards, and calls. Now I'm putting him on an ace, but I think he's not sure if he's against a made hand of some sort. Pots around $44 at this point. River: A K 10 A Q The grad student looks a bit sick. Someone says, Yang slowplayed a set again, and I feel fully ready to exploit this. I bet $25 straight out, and after much thought, the grad student folds! I turn over my measly third pair to everyone's astonishment (they'd be much less surprised to see pocket aces, I think) and scoop up the pot. He later told me had Ace 8 ..I doubt I couldve pushed someone off of trip aces if I didn't have my ultra tight image .. any thoughts about whether this was a great move, or an absolutely suicidal one? Petoria 0
Sounds pretty good, great move showing the bluff. Unfortunately, you can never bluff again in that game again, but you will get called when you have monsters.

If this guy's image is really that tight, you should probably show a bluff every once in a while so that you don't end up getting absolutely no action every time you pick up a big hand and start betting.
