In a recent limit game:2 limpers to me on the button, and I raised with JJ. The BB called and both limpers called. Flop came AJx. Checked to me, I bet, and only the BB called. Turn was a 9, and he led out. I gladly reraised, putting him on A9, and we capped. River was the last J, and two more bets put him all in. He showed AA. I guess hitting your 1 outer is possible.

Was in an MTT 20k prize pool, I was all in with QQ, not a bad hand unless you're up against KK and AA. Unusual situation but I've seen crazier things, once I was dealt, AA KK QQ in succession.Anyways, we were all in preflop KK hits his set... turn Queen and I'll let you guess what the river was.

Can't remember the exact details but it was a single table Sng. 5 players are left I move all in with two black Kings. 1 caller we were close in chips but I had him covered. He turns over the 2 red Kings. I'm ticked cause it's gonna be a split pot. 2 spades on the flop them running spades on the turn and river and I win the hand. Went on to win the tourny.Duff

Here's where a possible bad beat against me, turns into a bad beat against my opponent: Playing in a fun home game, 3 people left...I'm SEVERLEY short stacked, and I look down at AKs with about 10 chips left (other 2 players had about 400 chips between them).Big blind calls me (in the dark, no less), and flips over 6 4 offsuit....flop comes down 6 4 9....as I'm putting on my jacket, the turn comes A...the river...KI doubled up 3 more times after that, but couldn't close the deal....a 2nd place finish.

I was playing a game with some of my buddies from work....Heads-up, 1st place= 500$, 2nd= 250$Blinds: 2.5/5$Me: 150$ in chipsChris: 200$ in chipsIm dealt A :club: 2 :) in the BB. Everyone folds to the SB who raises to 15$, i call. Flop is J :club: 5 :D 7 :), i flop an ace-high flush. I bet 15$ and he calls. Turn is a Q :D . He checks and i bet another 15$, he re-raises to 45$. Now here is where i make my move... I put on a little act. I think for about 5 mins and i flip over my 2 :club:(i didn't fold or raise, i just showed him my card, which is legal in our home game.) and i say,"I think your bluffing and ima go all-in." He immediately calls and i show him my ace flush, he had a K :club: 2 :club:. River is a blank and i win the pot and win the tourny a little later.

One of the worst, would be the following, because I not only got one guy, but a total of three. At the casino in a 10/20 limit game in the sb. Cards are dealt, by the time it gets to me it's capped. I look down and see I have 2 :D 8 :) . I sit and think about it for a second, and decide I am suited, with the capping I put the other three on big cards, figure I can call to see flop, and if I get my little ones, it could be a huge pot for me.Well, flop comes J 2 8, I bet out, the three others not only call, they cap it. By now I am thinking, whoops have gotten into a hornets nest here, I called the cap. Have decided that if turn does not improve me I am done. I hit gin, turn comes a 2, have made my boat, liked the 2 hitting much more than the 8, I am all but certain no one is holding better now. I bet out, it's capped again and I call. River is a blank, I bet, this time everyone just calls.Of the three others, one guy has J8, and the other two are holding AJ. I could not have asked for a better turn card, just as I had thought, knew I would not have cared as much for it if the 8 had come. Needless to say, the J8 guy is livid and the two AJ's are astonished at my selection of cards to call a pre cap with. This happened not too long ago, made me think of Daniel, and his taking shots to see flops when he holds little ones and the actions hot, putting everyone else on the high end of the deck. I cuaught flack the rest of the evening from the other guys about my 28, lol......

I was playing a low stakes no limit cash game. 2/4 cent game. I was up to about 20 dollars. There were some big stacks (50-100) in there raising every pot about 2 dollars. I pushed with 44, AA called me. Flop came A4X. Turn 4. I thought that was hilarious. I made 20 dollars by playing very loose and catching the one card that could save me. It was almost like playing for play money, this game was super loose. That was one of the worst beats I've ever given anyone. Another was heads up, my friend (We'll call him Maniac J) raises preflop, I call with A :club: 5 :club: - The flop came 2 :) Q :club: K :club: . He bets, and since I had him covered, I figured I'd push with an over card and a flush draw. He calls, flips over KK. Turn came a 3 :club: and the river was 4 :D - Missed my flush, but back doored the wheel. He was so pissed off, he said, "You'd go all in with 9 outs!? GOD! That's just terrible!!!" - This coming from someone who called an all in with 9 :) 5 :D and beating ace high with a pair of 5's.

This one happened about a week ago. I was playing $1/$2 online. I get K :club: T :club: in the BB. There are four or five calls and I check. Flop comes 6 6 :) 8 :club:. SB checks, I check, UTG bets, folds around to SB who calls and I call. Turn is 9 :D, so I've got my my flush and am feeling pretty good. SB checks, I check, UTG bets, SB calls. I figure it's time to make my move. The cards have not been especially kind to me prior to this hand and I'm thinking the river is going to come up a heart and one of the other guys will have the A :), so might as well push it now. I raise and everybody calls. The river comes up 7 :D and I'm thinking, "Just what I figured. I just know one of these guys has the ace. Hey, wait.... I've got the T :club:!" SB checks. I'm not even thinking about what anyone else might have at this point. I know the check-raise isn't going to work a second time so I bet. UTG folds and I'm just hoping the SB will call. He raises! I'm stunned at my incredible luck and immediately re-raise. He caps it. I call. He turns over 66. I really have to admire his patience. He's had four sixes from the flop and didn't make his move until the final round. It must have really sucked to see me turn over the T :club:.

Last night in a homegame tourney we were having I had my worst beat ever... Ok I got pocket aces and the flop was  Ace, 10,  Jack. So i'm thinking good position I'll raise with half my chips to scare away draws.  Then my friend with a small stack goes all in and I match him, so now I only have a dollar in chips left so I might as well be all in.He turns over Pocket Jacks and I turn over Pocket aces. He has 3 jacks and I have 3 aces and I"m feeling great. The turn is an 8, and then the river...Its another Jack giving him 4 of a kind and me a Aces fullhouse.I felt so sick to my stomach.Later for my last dollar I go all in with a Ace high flush draw and I get it and some other kid calls just because he wanted to go home. I get my flush and on the river he gets a full house... we had to tell him that he got it because he didnt even know. That wrapped up the night.... what  a downer.

I used to work offshore on a construction barge in the oilfields out in the Gulf of Mexico. We had a pretty good cash game, it was dealer's choice, three raise limit, we played lots of Hi/Low split games and Hi/Low Chicago to build nice pots. We'd play some straight poker, too. I guess back then Texas Hold 'Em wasn't as popular as it is today because nobody ever played it (I'd never even heard of it - circa 1980). We always played with one Joker (aces, straights, flushes only), and we'd play almost everyday after we got off shift. It was a FUN game, but you could win anywhere from $50 - $300 on any given night.I was about 22y.o. back then and I wasn't a very sophisticated poker player. We had a few guys who were retired Navy hands and they had lots of poker experience. Then there was an older gentleman from Texas named John Miller who was really good. I was holding my own pretty well in these games, but John Miller was the guy to beat. I was dealing, I called 7 card stud, I dealt myself a JJ in the hole then a 10 up, I raised and just about everyone folded except for John Miller, he had a 5 showing, he raised me back for the last raise. I deal the next round and John catches another 5, I catch my third J. He bets because his pair of 5's showing are high, I raise and chase everybody else out, John re-raises back at me, I call. There were some railbirds just watching the game, one was sitting behind John and he lifted his hole cards to show him - the guys eyebrows go up (in astonishment), but I'm too green to grasp the significance, I keep shoving my chips in as fast as I can and John Miller keeps raising me back. I end up hitting a full boat at the end - jacks full of tens, we max out the final round and John flips over pocket 5's - I'D DEALT HIM 5-5-5-5 RIGHT OFF THE TOP OF THE DECK! That's the worst bad beat I've ever dealt anyone, too bad I was on the receiving end!I ended up doing pretty well in those games, I probably won more money than everybody else except for John Miller over the long haul, but I'll never forget that one bad beat - and I dealt it myself.

This beat happened to me a couple weeks ago in a super loose, super-aggressive 2/5 NL Hold Em game in Austin. To set things up there is probably just about $10,000 on the table and my stack is about $850. So, I pick up two black Jacks in MP and make it 40 to go(about standard for big hands at this table) and get one caller from the button. This is one of those guys that has more money than sense, he probably had 2500 dollars in front of him(most of it purchased) and plays literally every hand. Anyways I felt like I had a pretty good read on him. So, flop comes 10 5 2 rainbow. I bet out 80, and he re-raises me 200! At this point I put him on a bluff as I know he likes to use his stack to bully the table, plus he his talking really tough and trying to convey extreme strength. I don't buy it so i decide to just call. Turn is a 7, and I bet half my stack, which was about 250. He re-raises me all-in, and going with my read i quickly call the rest of my chips. He exclaims "you beat me, i bluff you" and turns over K8off and says "i need a King" and as soon as he said the word thats what fell...I felt pretty sick after that as I was already in a very cold streak and felt like that night was gonna jumpstart me out of it. Anyway ,I've played with this guy a few more times since and he has layed some other pretty sick beats on my azz but none as bad as the K high debaucle.

I took out one of my best friends twice on some fun handsDown to 3 in a weekly 1 table SNG, my friend bets from the button (double BB), SB raises, I call from BB with J :D 10 :) . Flop comes Q K A. He bets, SB raises a substantial amount (pot is getting big by now), and I reraise, trying to eliminate a possibly higher draw. Button moves in, SB calls, I gladly call. SB immediately flips over AK, thinking his two pair is good. Button laughs maniacally and flips over QQ, showing the trips. The whole room is cackling, and I quietly turn over the JT nut straight...and the room erupts...beautiful...Later in that same game (with me as the huge leader now, SB very shortstacked and button, to a lesser extent), I'm again on the BB. Button raises, SB folds, I call with QJs. Flop comes 222. Button moves in; I hesitate, wondering if my kicker will hold. Button looks down at his cards, averting his eyes--the one tell from Caro that this guy follows every single time. I call, and he flips over aces, telling me about how he finally picked up the tell I was using on him, and how now it was going to make him rich.Turn and river came QQ. I hit the higher boat. He threw his cell phone into the wall and broke it, followed by his wallet into the radiator, followed by the cards across the room, followed by a sofa cushion out the window. It was beautiful.

Maybe not the greatest, but still good for me.Last week I was in Shreveport, LA playing at a 4-8 table. After about an hour and a half a new player joined the table. I was up a bit and was playing loosly. Anyway the board was something like 4,5,6,X, and 8. So him and I were doing lot's of betting to caps assuming we were going to split the pot. When it came time to show our cards, he had the 7 & A and I had the 7 & 9. No big deal, but the very next hand...I was still stacking my chips and was delt 7 :club: ,7 :club: . I raised the blind he called. The flop came 10 :) ,7 :club: ,10 :club: I Bet he raise I re-raised he called. 4th street was X :D , much of the same with the bets and reraises until capped, finally 5th street came and the betting begain again. Show time. He proudly flipped over his A :) & Q :D  "NUT FLUSH!!!"...."Sorry buddy, Nice Hand"
