Frez 0
I'd like to know what card you get on the river before I answer your question to bet or not?I definitely bet an A or 2. Probably a 6 - defintely at least check call a 6.But if I miss my 7 low, I'll check fold if I'm confident this player isn't leading 5th and 6th if he can't beat my board. Cappy37 0
Well, you are drawing extremely slim here.. at least two sixes are gone, one duece is gone, and you pretty much have to figure, with your own holdings, that a portion of the As and 2s are in your opponents hole cards. That leaves you realistically looking for about 6 cards that are not an 8 (yeah I know, there's 9 possible outs, but you have to give your opponents some credit here).. I do *not* think we take this down if we hit a miracle 8 on the river. We started well, but there's no way we are a favorite drawing that marginally into the river. He's paired, we are paired, he could be paired underneath to, which makes you likely to check-call 6th. You could always get cute and bet out on 7th no matter what you get in the hole, but he isn't folding anything that currently beats 9 low anyways, so meh.

HangukMiguk 8
This is the problem with completing with a lot of dead outs on 3rd. That's not to say it wasn't correct to do (I do this regardless), but if I face resistance, I'm willing to let this go.Methinks villain has an 8 down though. If he could beat your board on 4th, he 3-bets. He doesn't. That leads me to believe he has an eight down. In which case you're way ahead. He might also have a nine down, which puts you in the same position. If I'm right (pretty sure I am), you can just keep letting him bluff. It's not a lock that he bluffs on the river, but still a good shot, so if you improve, this is one spot where I think a crafty check/raise goes a long way. You're not losing a ton of value if it goes check check.Bear in mind that I despise trap plays in Razz, but am advocating it here. Seems like a great play in this spot. I'm not ready to say Hero is ahead here, but I see the logic of your train of thought. Two 8s have been shown though. You need to be very sure villan is capable of running a multi street bluff (leading 5th, 6th and then 7th) with one of the other two 8s, or even a 9, in the hole before you check-raise the river.
