I play in a hockey pool every year I enjoy quite a bit. It's got a nice set up for those who follow hockey religiously (like myself) or those casually interested. It's all run online so there won't be a need to message endlessly here in an unorganized manner. Here is the gist of it:Each player in the NHL is rated by the third party site and assigned a value between 1 and 9 (9 being best players). You are given 50 points to put together a roster of 12 players. You get a center, 2 wingers, 2 defencemen, and a goalie from each conference. Each week you can reselect your team. Points are scored for assists and goals for players and wins by goalies. Extra points are given for overtime goals/assists and shutouts for goalies.I'm thinking something relatively cheap - like $20 for the year with a payout scheme similar to a poker tournament in that ~15% of the people will get paid at the end of the year. In addition, if you happen to do really well the site sponsoring the contest gives out prizes each week and grand prizes at the end of each half of the season.Let me know here if you'd be interested in something like this. I'll be able to set it up and get you guys the password closer to the season starting - I just want to gauge if there's an interest here (otherwise I'll just run my normal one with friends).Go Leafs Go!
