I've been multitabling the 1/2 limit tables on party poker recenetly and i've been doing very well (made $150 in an hour just the other night), but last night i took my first big hit at this level, lost 2 buy ins for a total of $100 dollars. I started playing at about 11:00pm est. time and I ran into a huge problem, not matter what table I went too, there was at least one, but usually two or three maniacs on each table, people that would literally raise and reraise on each street reguardless of what their hand was and what the board showed, several times in a one hour period i was dealt pocket kings 4 times and each time i was called all the way down by someone with Ace high who drilled an ace.So now that you have an idea of how bad these players were, my question is, how do you play against them? These players seem like cash cows, but I know that I put my money in when I had the best of it and every time I was out drawn on the turn or river by someone who reraised me with a 3 outer and drilled it.Do most of you just not play against such horrible players, or do you just play extremly tight?
how to play limit hold em against maniacs?

Play real tight, because most pots are capped preflop. Then, play him like a flute. You know exactly what he's going to do (raise) so you use it to your advantage. Get in as many bets as you want, then slowdown and go into call mode.

A lot of people going up against maniacs have this fear that if they play tight, the maniac will realize their tightness and just drop out. Nothing could be farther from the truth.99% of the maniacs in the world are completely oblivious to the players around them, and have no reads of any kinds. You could fold 200 hands straight then suddenly start out with a raise, and the maniac would treat you just the same as someone who had played every other hand.So play tight and win the big, infrequent pots off him while losing little in the meantime.

Loose, crazy games aren't for everybody. It can be very hard to win in those games without a sizeable bankroll. Play your game against them. Don't do anything tricky or fancy. Subtle plays are lost on bad players. Don't EVER comment on their play or discuss strategy at the table. The last thing you want to do is educate someone that doesn't care about their money. You'd rather milk them for everything they are worth.

Hey guys, thanks for all the good advice, I guess I just got mad that there was so much action going on and I could never see a cheap flop with good drawing hands, and started paying too much to see a lot of hands, and then the good hands i did have were suffering a lot of bad beats because there was so many people in down to the river. Next time I'm up against these guys I'll just play extremely tight and hope I hit a flop hard, and if I don't, let it go, because that seems to be the only way to win off of them.

Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.
