Villain is 22/21/4 after 50 hands. Lost an entire stack earlier when he got his QdQh all-in on a 6s5s4s board against a set of fours.

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $1 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FCP)

UTG ($101.50)
Hero ($104.15)
CO ($150.25)
Button ($100)
SB ($228.05)
BB ($348.80)

Preflop: Hero is MP with 9 icon_suit_club.gif , A icon_suit_club.gif . UTG posts a blind of $1.
Hero raises to $4, 3 folds, UTG (poster) calls $3.

Flop: ($8.50) 3 icon_suit_spade.gif , 6 icon_suit_club.gif , 8 icon_suit_club.gif (3 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $6, UTG raises to $20, Hero raises to $106.15 (All-In), UTG calls $77.50 (All-In).

Is this spew? Misguided application of playing draws aggressively? Or do we like, since we'd play overpairs, sets, pair+FD the same way?

It's different if the raise came from the BB or SB cause it's more likely to be a move. UTG limp call preflop and C/R flop is usually a draw at worst and a set/two pair type hand more than anything. I usually spew like you here, but I don't think it's right. I think you're usually just betting into a monster and some times get lucky to have him drawing to a lesser flush draw like 79 or something.

You have a decent amount of fold equity here I would assume. But I'm not the type of the guy who commits a full buy-in on a hand like this. I'd flat call on the flop and if i miss on the turn I would probably check-fold if he makes a big bet or check-call if he makes a small bet.

This is not the right villain.

If villain's stacking off with QQ, no redraw on a 6s5s4s board, we don't need to play any other hands the same way as overpairs, sets, pair+FD.

You're right. I guess this is why I felt bad about this hand. Do you think we should call the raise or just dump it?

Yeah. You're right. Man, this hand was horrible.

Results: Villain had a set of 3's and my flush didn't hit. Ohhhhhhhh well. I learned a lot from this hand. Thanks for all the replies.

Surely with stacks as deep as they are, and Villian's propensity to call off his stack with one pair, we're getting good enough implied odds to see the turn card, especially with position?

I don't see it

Edit: Take that back.
