Allie 0
I've been reading thru a few of the threads for quite a while tonite, and read some stuff in one of them (about Suited Up's J10 hand), that made me go...huh?? I joined this forum 34 days, and 16 posts ago...which makes me a newbie. However, when I joined this forum, I didn't realize that I was joining a private or exclusive club. I thought I was joining a public forum. I thought anyone could post on here, abiding by the forum rules of conduct OF COURSE....so imagine my shock and surprise to read the following:STFU NEWBit gets tiring to see new posters quickly jump to conclusions and think they know it all when they try to tell more experienced posters to stop acting like they know it. there should be a law that you cant talk censored about a forum member unless you have at least 100 posts or a few months of membership..newbs talking censored chaps my hide... So...let me see if I have this straight...a newbie posts something (even if it was kind silly) and gets told STFU.......newbs shouldn't tell "more experienced posters" anything (which of course, is not synonymous with more experienced POKER players...cuz we wouldn't want to suggest that more posts equals better player....we'd all agree that's silly right?) ....and well, basically newbs shouldn't express opinions at all, cuz they might disagree with or offend a more experienced forum member. So, I'm wondering....how did all the forum regulars/veterans etc....get all their posts in?? I guess at one time they were all "newbs"....so I just can't figure out how they all achieved the honored status of "more experienced poster" without...hmmmmm....well.....posting! All my sarcasm aside, I'm really not trying to be a jerk about this...I was just kinda surprised at the animosity expressed in these posts towards us poor little newbies. I joined this forum to read, learn, and discuss poker, and have some fun with the off topic stuff....I didn't know I was trying to get into an exclusive club.

NormanHaupt 0
Well I just three bet his flop here- I'll wager you half my BR, Dave, I'll get capped with a reply in a few minutes saying I'm the reason these forums suck- and I should treat noobs better.
theresa113 0
Allie...I joined the day the forum opened so everyone who has posted after me is considered a Newbie. My rule is write whatever you want no matter who it may tick off. ;)You will learn, like I have, that there are certain things you just ignore. Some people are a little self righteous, some are a little arrogant but for the most part, you will find a great group of people with a variety of things to say. Welcome aboard. Allie 0
Thank you Theresa....it's nice to know someone on here is playing with a "full deck". And Norman...you don't suck (well maybe you do suck, but I wouldn't have wanted to bring something like that up, it's kinda personal)....your just a little "deck challenged". But that's ok, I'm sure there's help for that sort of thing.
MDXS 0
So...let me see if I have this straight...a newbie posts something (even if it was kind silly) and gets told STFU.......newbs shouldn't tell "more experienced posters" anything (which of course, is not synonymous with more experienced POKER players...cuz we wouldn't want to suggest that more posts equals better player....we'd all agree that's silly right?) ....and well, basically newbs shouldn't express opinions at all, cuz they might disagree with or offend a more experienced forum member. You're missing the point. Whoever wrote that was saying that you should need 100 post to talk crap about another poster. If I remember correctly, it was in referrence to Smasharoo being a .25/.50 player or something. Anyone who has been here for a while knows that this is not the case. We've been through it a million times and it gets really repetitive. So if you're going to rip on someone, make sure you have your facts straight. If you have something useful to offer and can back it up with a thought process, then give us your opinion whether or not it will offend anyone. Just don't be retarded about it. Allie 0
So, 80 more posts to go, and I get to rip on people and be retarded? Cool!! Just kidding lol....I didn't miss that point, I got it....and I agree with what your saying to a degree...if your going to rip on someone, know who your ripping and what your ripping them about. But the guy could have been told that he was wrong about Smash without the STFU, etc. Oh, and I read later in that thread someone explaining that Smash doesn't play .25/.50...that was an experiment or something...that he actually plays 3/6....now THERE'S some high limit poker! Hehehehe (sw).

You obviously arn't playing with a full deck.raise PF to see if you're way ahead, C/R the flop, Bet the turn fold to a raiseI dunno, I kind of prefer betting out on this flop, you already showed pre-flop aggression so it'd be cooler to bet post-flop as well.
