Rough session. Started VERY badly and almost immediately was down @25bb in the first 100 hands. Battled back to almost even at about 400 hands and called it night. There were soooo many hands to choose from that need analysis I tried to pick what I thought were my worst played. They are bad enough, I'm not even going to add comments and just throw myself on the fire.PokerStars 0.25/0.50 Hold'em (9 handed) converterPreflop: rvrcrdbandit is UTG+1 with [Jc], [Ac]. I actually don't see much I would've done differently except for this hand here. To me, AJ falls with AT, KQ, etc. in the raise-or-fold category. It's not a hand I really want to be calling two-cold with, as I could easily be dominated.Given that you decide to see a flop, though, I'm confused as to why you didn't raise the turn here. Was it the fact that the person who bet the turn was different than the one who bet the flop? Were you afraid he had AQ? I don't get it.Other than that, I probably play these pretty much the same way.

This was played perfect. If you check and call, he is only going to bet the flush and check behind with worse hands. So you still pay a bet when you are behind but you lose a bet when you are ahead.

I would 3-bet this. If it gets capped, check/call down unless you improve.Turn: (11.20 BB) [5c] (4 players)rvrcrdbandit bets, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, CO calls.GoodRiver: (15.20 BB) [Jd] (4 players)rvrcrdbandit bets, rvrcrdbandit calls, MP1 calls $0.25 (All-In).Only getting called on the turn by 3 people scares me witless of the flush completing on the river. I would check/call as it's VERY likely at least one of the other 3 people was looking for this.Final Pot: 20.70 BBPokerStars 0.25/0.50 Hold'em (10 handed) converterPreflop: rvrcrdbandit is MP3 with [Js], [Ad]. For that matter don't do it with AJs either and only AQo if the raiser is a maniac.Flop: (13 SB) [4h], [As], [3c] (6 players)SB checks, UTG bets, SB folds, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 calls, MP1 calls.Don't raise here either. Since you got this far, calling down is ok, but you really shouldn't have been in the hand at this point.Turn: (11.50 BB) [Qs] (5 players)UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, UTG+2 bets, MP1 folds, rvrcrdbandit calls, UTG calls, UTG+1 folds.River: (14.50 BB) [4d] (3 players)UTG checks, UTG+2 bets, rvrcrdbandit calls, UTG folds.Final Pot: 16.50 BBPokerStars 0.25/0.50 Hold'em (9 handed) converterPreflop: rvrcrdbandit is BB with [As], [8h]. 2 folds, SB completes, rvrcrdbandit checks.Flop: (4 SB) [9c], [Th], [7c] (4 players)SB checks, rvrcrdbandit bets, MP1 calls, MP3 calls, SB folds.Leading with the OESD is fine here.Turn: (3.50 BB) [6c] (3 players)rvrcrdbandit bets, MP1 folds, MP3 calls.Good bet. You have to see if they made the flush and if not charge them to draw at a naked club.River: (5.50 BB) [Ac] (2 players)rvrcrdbandit bets, rvrcrdbandit calls.I think is a clear check/call. If they have the club you won't lose as much and it also allows the opponent to bluff at the pot since you showed weakness by checking with the scare card. I don't think you're ahead often enough in a pot this size to justify the bet. Otherwise nicely played.Final Pot: 9.50 BBPokerStars 0.25/0.50 Hold'em (10 handed) converterPreflop: rvrcrdbandit is SB with [As], [Ac]. Sometimes you just get screwed. It was of you to not lead on the turn when you made the set.Overall, not too bad but I see you're still having trouble with calling with big aces to an early position raise.Zara

Why are we check/calling the straight??If you check, it's with the intention of folding unless you think the guy will bluff...like...a shit load of the time.

From how passive the person was, he was clearly chasing something. If he's chasing an A I think he'll bet since he made it, and if he was chasing the flush you lose the minimum to make him show it to you. In addition, I think you will get called by hands with weaker clubs that may not bet so you save a bet there as well.In fact, other than someone chasing a naked A, I think the only hands that are going to call you here are two pair or better, and based on the action I just can't put the player on two pair or a set. The only hands I think he can have are some sort of busted straight or over card draw, or a club. With the busted draw he may bet (but obviously won't call) and he may or may not bet the club depending on how high it is.Zara
