Just frustrated after losing with KK for the 4th time in two hours... I just need to vent with this hand... I have PlayerView running all the time so never felt I was in danger of running into a character with AA. The whole table was raising and seeing the flop with just about any two cards. Maybe I should have feared someone with a small pair flopping a set but the two people that were raising were raising with anything. Would you all have played this the same way?Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (9 handed) converterPreflop: Hero is MP2 with Kd, Kc. Check/call the river3 to the flush and 3 to the straight on boardOther then the river raise this looks fine
Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

With 9 players at a limit table I couldnt imagine any big pair holding up...ever. It is mighty frustrating though. If you are catching KK 2 times an hour, maybe you should move to NL and make some money

not sure I particularly like the raise on the turn, either, actually. Sb hasn't slowed down, and he could very well have had you beaten (I'd say "though why he'd check/fold the river confuses me", but I've actually made similar moves..my guess is he had some other overpair and figured he was beat by two-pair/a set/some stupid runner-runner draw), to say nothing about the other 8 million people holding on with god only knows what (The runner-runner draw is sadly not as unreasonable as it should be).And yeah, raising the river is really just asking for it by that point.

the turn raise sucks. since you didn't cap the flop you need to go into call down mode

I hate not elaborating so here gos:The pot is so big that a raise on the flop does nothing to protect your hand. If you raise you are giving everyone about 12-1 which is good enough to call with just about anything. But on the turn you have a chance to protect your hand. Call because raising does nothing, then raise the turn.
