I wasn't going to get many more chances. I probably could have jumped a money spot or two, but I was hoping for the chance to beat one or two guys HU with a decent drawing hand to about octuple up and have a chance to do some damage.

Fold this. This is a horrible shot for your hand, you're looking at probably already 7 outs gone from your draw, and there is only one pair card to your hand on the board. You are in BAAAAAAAAAAD shape. Against even one raiser, I might just call, see if I connect on 4th, then push. With a stronger hand, I might go ahead and push. With this action, I fold and wait it out.And as for your argument that you won't get many more chances, believe me, that's not true. Most of my tournament wins, and heads up matches have stemmed from me playing a severely short stack down to 3 tables or less. I won one of the freerolls on Full Tilt after being shortstacked with 25 left, then the next week won an $11 after being shortstacked with two tables left. I did so by passing up spots like this, and finding better spots to make my moves. And playing a short stack in games like this is actually different than playing it in Hold'Em. I should do a quick write-up sometime, but I will definitely write this up in Razzercise.

Thank you for the input, HM.I feel I made two critical errors in this hand.First of all, the pot was raised, re-raised, and then cold-called before my turn to act. I wasn't pushing anyone out of the hand. Second, there was a huge pot with 3 players committed to it, at the 2k/4k level I was looking at the two big stacks and a stack in jeopardy playing a multi-way pot, I stood a better chance of moving a spot up the payout ladder than I did of quadrupling up.With a 2, a 3, and an 8 showing, my A29 was pretty vulnerable. My reasoning was I was going to have to draw out fairly soon and I might as well get paid for the effort. Upon retrospect, I wasn't even involved in the pot and could have easily folded here. I admit I had started the FT in 3rd chip positions with 48k and was left with 6k after taking two horrendous beats. I had that nagging feeling that I was due (also known as "slight tilt"). Fold and wait for another spot. Even with a concealed A2, I still was likely technically behind all 3 hands in the pot and would need two, if not 3 cherry cards to make my A2 shine. Easy fold, makes me sick to even reflect upon it.
